Best website to go to for cheap NCL cruises?

Recommended Posts

Recommendations are not permitted on CC.

It really doesn't take too much time to compare pricing on different websites. Just make sure you're comparing apples to apples, some will not have port charges or taxes in their advertised price, some may include insurance, etc. You have to look at the FINAL price.

I would also check to see what the refund/cancellation policy of the TA is (some may have a refund fee over and above what the cruise line might).

And I'd also look to see if they have any kind of track record for helping customers with price reductions that might apply after the cruise is booked.

Hello,

I am trying to find the best website to go to for cheap NCL cruises. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

NCL cruises are cheap. They are cheap because unless they discounted the cruise they aren't able to sell them. I've been on an NCL cruise and know first hand how terrible they are. They give cruising a bad name. When Apollo Capital Management bought into NCL I thought they would turn the company around. They haven't and NCL has gotten worse.

My wife went on a C-T-N to celebrate a relatives notable birthday. It was terrible. No one answers the phone at room service. No one answers the phone at the pursar's desk. NCL charges a service fee. The only thing is they don't give you any service.

This is so ridiculous its hardly worth replying to. This poster is of course entiteld to his opinion, but its not fact.

Ask recent NCL passengers and most will have enjoyed the experience. Those who don't were expecting 6 star service at 2 star cost.

Don't almost all of the cruise lines now charge a service fee? The days of stiffing at the end of the cruise is coming to an end. Many cruise lines have also introduced surcharge restaurants as well.

Notice Carnival is beginning to check for liquor being smuggled aboard now during this economic slump, giving back the booze at the end of the cruise if the bottles are unchanged, but they pour the booze overboard if there are signs of the booze being smuggled in other bottles.

I love both NCL and Carnival. My first experience with NCL was not a good one... gave them another shot and had plenty of great experiences. Last July on the Sky was another bad experience, the ship was just not ready and had tons of issues, but NCL responded and provided me with adequate compensation and I leave in less than two weeks for my second Alaska trip on the Pearl! All cruise lines have ups and downs and all have put out a bad cruise or two... but it is all in what you make of it... As far as prices... check around, some places discount and others do not... some agencies charge fees, some do not... booking directly with NCL though... you will not get the best price... find an agency that discounts and provides you with service, they are out there!

I have sailed twice with NCL and found them to be great. My advice is don't settle for the first offer. Look around and compare (as already mentioned). You will not be disappointed.

If you plan to gamble in the casino while onboard I would check out NCL's "Casino at Sea" rate. I was able to book two cruises with them and the rate was better than anything I could have gotten online. I have a Harrah's Total Reward's card and go to AC 3 or 4 times a year but am not a major player (Gold Card level). They do check you out before they give the rate. If that is an option for you I would call 877 752-9625. There are some restrictions, so ask a lot of questions. Good luck.

Everyone's entititled to their opinion but, it seems this person must have lost a bundle in the casino (check out the name), and is very p***ed off. We've alway had a great time on several NCL cruises, SKY, SUN, PEARL, JEWEL and STAR. And from other posters, we're not alone.:)

One has to wonder why this person apparently spends so much time trolling this NCL site if they hate it so much...??

Use a price comparison sites that gets TAs to make you offers, this gives you a list of those that can do deal.

Casino Player fyi (and you may already know this) casino's at sea are not regulated by gaming comissions as they are here in the states. They therefore are not required for instance to pay out on slot machines on a certain percentage of overall plays. I steer clear of casinos at sea and I would not trust playing card games either since they basically do not have anyone to answer to. Check out this article:

I always wonder that as well when I see this happening.

The bright side is anyone who has cruised on NCL, or any other line for that matter, a number of times KNOWS that things are not like he has posted on every ship everytime. I think people are smart enough to see those kind of posts as not being very credible.

I have no problem with someone posting something negative, it's when they take every opportunity to post the same thing over and over again.

Casino player was not even on the CTN, I was and had a blast!!! And I lost in the Casino. The shows and food were great.

How could they even say no one answered the phone my friends were in an inside cabin and ordered room service about 3 times. I was in an AC and called the spa non stop looking for a massage appt to open, We called the front desk about 6 times never a problem even the on the last morning.

They must be a cranky group because the service on the Dawn was excellent :) We tipped extra in all the restaurants well deserved.

Now the weather on the other hand not so good.

Another Carnivore cheerleader. Finished bashing RCI on the Carnival boards early today huh?....

So you like Carnival, its the only line worth your money, we get, now get over yourself.

I am sorry that you have such a poor opinion of NCL. We have cruised on NCL and Celebrity. We just returned from a cruise on POA and even took a group cruise to Bermudaon NCL. We enjoyed ourselves on both cruises - especially our Hawaii cruise.

If you are not a fan of NCL why are you bothering reading the NCL secion of CC?

Thread Hijacker! If you want to voice your lousy opinion, at least show the OP some courtesy and start a new thread.

To the OP, several have stated already that it is against CC policy to make recommendations.
