Crown Princess Questions

Recommended Posts

My fiance and I are going to be going on the Crown Princess to the Western Caribbean( Cozumel, Rotan, and Grand Cayman) in Nov 2009 for our honeymoon. I just wanted to see if anyone had feedback on the ports of call, the ship itself, or any cabin recommendations. We are looking at a mini suite most likely. Thank you.

If you post this on the Princess board you'll get many responses. I haven't been on Crown, but have been on Caribbean Princess which has a quite similar layout. The mini-suites are very nice; you get a decent-sized sitting area plus two TVs and a larger bath/shower combo in the bathroom.

I like the mini-suites on the Emerald deck. These are fully covered. The mini-suites on Dolphin deck are completely exposed -- no shade and folks on higher-level balconies can look down and see you. Not a huge deal; just thought I'd mention it.

Welcome to Cruise Critic. You will find there are many different areas here. In the Ports of Call section people will be asking questions and sharing ideas about the different ports and excursion opportunities. there is a Roll Call section where you find your cruise line, ship, and then the dates for your particular cruise. Join in and 'meet' others going with you, find out what their port plans are...Over on the Princess board, you will find those who have already sailed on your ship willing to share impressions and pictures. Have a great time planning! EM

Welcome to Cruise Critic. Since you've already been directed to the appropriate boards for your questions, I'll add that I'm just off my second transatlantic on Crown Princess, and I can practically guarantee that you'll have a wonderful time aboard. She's a lovely ship and really holds her passengers well. Don't miss the International Cafe on deck 5, especially the almond croissants in the morning. Heavenly!

...and the warm fresh-baked cookies in the afternoon! YUM! :D

The Crown Princess is my favorite ship so far. She is absolutely beautiful and IMHO the service on Princess is top-notch! Congratulations and have a wonderful cruise! :)

Welcome Cruisemom We sailed the Crown and her sister ship, Emerald and foud both to be excellent ships. I agree about the exposed vs. covered balconies. Get one that's covered. Not only for the sun but if it rains too. As far a sports the one thing I would recommend is when you get to Grand Cayman go to Stingray City. A real thrill.
