Sensation Refurbished??

Does anyone know when the Sensation was refurbished. Specifically room decor, bedspreads etc? I will be sailing in a Cat 11 this year and would like some feedback.....

Well, it was more like a "refresh" than a refurbish, earlier this year... there are new spreads... they are WONDERFUL!!!! There is a new bar in the atrium... room decor? I didn't notice anything different between 2003 and October of this year.. other than the comforters...

This is what a Carnival rep told me when trying to book. Can't remember the exact dates for dry dock, but they should be able to tell you.

The "Refurb" was completed while she was in dry-dock in Dec 2003. Several minor changes as GC mentioned... with those new mattresses and comforters being the MOST significant!!!:D

Do all romms have new mattresses and comforters? I also have friends that are staying in Inside on the Main deck and OV on the Riviera? Any comments?

To my knowledge it would be all rooms EXCEPT the upper bunks....

I wanted to bring my bed home with me, comforter included. That was the most comfortable bed I've slept in away from home!!! I tried to think of a way I could sneak my comforter into my luggage, but I would have had to leave all my clothes and I knew they would suspect something then!!!!

I actually took my comforter and 6 pillows on my last cruise, because I am so used to comfortable sleep. I am excited about the new spreads on the Sensation.

 

 

I have never known anyone who booked a 1A who actually sailed in a 1A. They have always gotten upgraded. I guess past guests and all......

I heard through a TA that the Sensation would be in dry dock October 2005...

Martinalut - we book assigned rooms - we NEVER book guarantees because we want to KNOW exactly where we will be on the ship. I like to gamble in the casino, and not with my accomodations :D

and the beds and comforters were wonderful. Usually I want to smuggle off my cabin steward...this time I wanted to take the bed and comforter!!!

 

We were on for Thanksgiving and it was great!! Some people don't care for the purple trim and I have to admit it clashed with the red Christmas decorations...but hey...didn't stop me from having a blast!!

:D Well, somebody's got to be in all those 1A cabins!:D I've known a few folks who have booked 1A and that's exactly what they got....but were happy with the accommodations.

 

I agree - the new duvets they're putting in the cabins are WONDERFUL.
