LJLB6 Posted December 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2004 Need to bring back some tequila for some friends---dont' drink the stuff so I don't know much about it. Any advice on where to buy it, brands, and pricing?
Cozumel_Tom Posted December 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2004 Cinco Soles near the end of the waterfront shopping area has a huge selection of tequila. They´ll let you sample some as well. Go for the one that costs over $500USD per bottle...your friends are worth it!
lory Posted December 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2004 My favorite is Don Julio anejo. It's a good one!
39august Posted December 9, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2004 We think Heradura anejo aged 2 years is smoother than Don Julio.
Cruise Junky Posted December 9, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2004 My first question would be what are they going to do with it. If it's dump it in a big bottle of margarita mix, I wouldn't be buying the expensive stuff. If it's to drink straight, Three Generations is good - sorry can't remember it's mexican name, but you can figure it out pretty easily and it's got a picture on the label of three generations of men. Cozumel_Tom Posted December 10, 2004 #9 Share Posted December 10, 2004 Nah, just speaking in general terms! I actually prefer Vodka, Bourbon and Rye. Though not usually all at the same time!

CruzinSuz Posted December 11, 2004 #14 Share Posted December 11, 2004 Alquevara...something like that...is especially good. Can't buy it in the US. It's a sipping Tequila...a liquer/cordial. It does well in martini's too. Not a margarita Tequila. In Mexico, I think it should be between 20 to 40 dollars.

GolfitoJR Posted December 11, 2004 #16 Share Posted December 11, 2004 Two moderately priced Tequilas, very smooth: Corralejo Cazadores ...both brewed with Agave, a must for good Tequila. Drink moderately, get off the stool and practice walking occasionally to gauge if you've had too much..:) MiniGolf Scott
