cb at sea Posted May 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2009 It should tell you the recommended amount on the bottle----since ginger is a "food", I doubt you could overdose!!!!
Happy ks Posted May 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2009 Yes, they are a food item, but they gave me horrid heartburn. So do try them out ahead of time, just to be sure they work for you. A ginger ale is what I use if I feel a bit queasy on a cruise ship.

If you chew gum, you might consider also getting some ginger gum. A friend of mine gets motion sickness very easily, but really found the ginger gum helped her. It is available through the internet, or in many health food stores.

I took 2 with every meal. I had started just taking one in the morning and one at night, but it wasn't working. A passenger who was a nurse told me to take 2 with every meal. Worked much better. sjcruiser Posted May 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Ginger Altoids have worked for me when I feel queezy or have nausea, but they are hard to find.
sports-mom Posted May 29, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Ginger Altoids have worked for me when I feel queezy or have nausea, but they are hard to find. I Just looked those up... They are kinda pricey! ($20 for 12?) Were they that expensive in the stores?
cayac Posted May 29, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I think the $20 price range is for 12 tins, rather than 12 tablets....at least I hope that's what it is!
