nancygp Posted May 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Why is this being posted in the Luxury Cruising area. Azamara isn't considered a luxury line, it's a premium line. You are calling Azamara a deluxe line. Nancy
kitty9 Posted May 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I have to agree with Nancy (HI Nancy). Azamara is considered a premium line along with Oceania.
wripro Posted May 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Actually Azamara and Oceania are considered Deluxe lines. Celebrity, HAL etc. are considered premium.
nancygp Posted May 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Regardless of classification, a premium or deluxe line shouldn't be on the luxury cruise thread. Nancy
Erica@cruisecritic Posted May 29, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Azamara and Oceania are both considered "deluxe" lines, somewhere between premium and luxury. For Cruise Critic's purposes, we include deluxe lines in our "luxury" coverage because often luxury cruisers are interested in the nicer cabins on deluxe lines. We very much realize there's a difference between lines like Azamara and Oceania and true luxury lines like Silversea, RSSC, etc. I posted links to the Azamara coverage on this thread in case anyone reading the luxury forums was curious about this relatively new line. Please don't take it as trying to present Azamara as a more luxurious line than it actually is. Hope that clears up some confusion!
