How many formal nights are on a 14 day cruise,and what nights do they take place?

Generally there are 3 formal nights on a 14 night cruise. The first is the second full day out, the second is generally about day 7 or 8 and the last is 2 days before the end of the cruise. When we went on our Jan 20- Feb 4th cruise they were on Jan 22nd, Jan 28th and Feb 2nd.

We booked back to back Alaska 7 day cruises this year, and just realized we will have 4 formal nights, 2 for each week.

There are normally three formal nights on a 14 day cruise. But last January on the Grand, we only had two. So, I guess it's better to be prepared and not have them, then to have them and not be prepared. :)

 

Princess says 14 days = 3 formal nights, but we didn't have that many.

We had 4, but it was B2B cruises. Cruise was booked as a 14 day. At the time we didn't realize that they could be booked separately.

We were on Royal November 2008 for a 12 nite and we had 3 formal/captain's nights. Hope this helps

There are 3 formal nights on a 14 day cruise. Usually, one is the first sea day, the second is around the middle and the third s towards the end.
