Rocchi Posted June 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2009 Shefinch, Sydney Princess. If you have a look at captain Geir arne's photo web site you should find a few of the answers you're looking for. http://www.captain-ga.com/ Best wishes Rocchi
shefinch Posted June 6, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted June 6, 2009 Not necessarily. Whoever is on now might have gone on leave by July 4th!
sydney princess Posted June 6, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2009 Thank you Rocchi, What a great web site!! Quite a few familar faces, Now I am REALLY excited. It will be interesting on Saturday July 4 at embarkation, as the first stage of the Tour de France will take place on a section of the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco circuit finishing up in Port Hercule. The circuit will be closed from 12.30pm with the tour caravan leaving at 1.30pm and the 1st contestant leaving at 4pm. I just hope we can arrange some sort of transportation to get to the ship with ease, I believe the taxi companies are not taking bookings on that day. JaneBP Posted June 6, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2009 Perhaps Seabourn will have a central spot to meet and then use buses to take you to the port. I seem to remember a similar dilemma in London during the London Marathon.

We are disembarking the Legend on July 4th and have ended up booking our transfer to the hotel with www.monte-carlolimousine.com. It's very expensive but at least I now have peace of mind. Chairsin Posted June 6, 2009 #11 Share Posted June 6, 2009 We were on the legend last fall doing this cruise as part of a longer cruise-- when we were in Monte Carlo the "boat" show was being held. Goodness, some of the private yachts were almost as big as the Legend. Some friends went to the casino that evening and because of the traffic almost missed the ship.
