RetireeWannabee Posted June 15, 2009 #51 Share Posted June 15, 2009 One of the little-known (and under-reported) side effects of the H1N1 Virus is the inability to recognize that this subject has already been posted and discussed to death on Cruisecritic. LOL Thanks for that!
momofmeg Posted June 15, 2009 #52 Share Posted June 15, 2009 Well, gosh, so have attire/dress codes, smoking/non-smoking, food, kids, bingo/casino costs, alcohol policies and prices, fare reductions/when to book, booking air or hotels through the cruise lines, noro virus and other illnesses, entertainment, ports/excursions, and just about every cruise-related and travel-related subject. If we're not going to have threads or posts about subjects that have been "discussed to death," then the forums are going to get very, very quiet. Don't want to read another thread about the same subject? Then don't open and read the darn thing! beachchick LOL! so true and so funny! You made me cackle out loud. BruceMUzz seems to forget it is discussed here because many found out their Mexican Rivera cruises turned into a Pacific North West cruises. lst month In my mind HE is the one minus a sense of humor. He thinks his posts are FUNNY???????????? Sarcastic-Yes-very often-funny-never.
Travelcat2 Posted June 16, 2009 #53 Share Posted June 16, 2009 That may be but how many cases of the regular flu are in there and how many have died from it? Probably way more but you won't hear that in the news. You are so right!!!!! Many people die every year from the flu (which is why flu shots are recommended). We need to trust the cruise industry to take necessary precautions. From what I read, late fall and winter is when the swine flu could reach its peak. Being concerned is a good thing -- getting into a panic does not help anyone. JMO

You might want to get a check-up just to be on the safe side. Never can be too careful, you know.

He thinks his posts are FUNNY???????????? Sarcastic-Yes-very often-funny-never. Just for fun, I went and read some of his posts. For someone who has worked on cruise ships for "decades," he sure seems contemptuous of most passengers. Or I guess I should say, he feels that way about the "homeless," "low class," cheap low lifes who cruise today and who apparently have ruined cruising (for him, at least). Well, at least now I know to ignore such postings. beachchick

Philip's posts are just as bad as Bruce's. I feel badly for both of them because they both really need a career change. You know for us, when the cr&**p gets too bad, and we feel we can't deal with things anymore-we can book a cruise and escape for a week or so from real life-but these guys-have no where to go-I doubt booking a cruise would help them-as they need to get away from their environment. It would not work for them to vacation in it-as they would still notice all these things that irritate them.
