Rome.Civitavecchia cruise stop

Recommended Posts

We will be docking in Civitavecchia on Oct 1 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

We would like to take the train to Rome. Is this fairly easy to do. How much time would we have in Rome and what time does the bus head back to meet our cruise time of 7:00 PM.

Any idea of the cost to do this.

In May, the train from Rome to Civitavecchia cost 4.50 euro/person I beleive it was over a hour ride

From the train station in Rome you can easily walk to many of the sites in 3 hours

A GPS would be very helpfully to get your bearings

I will have one the next time I go
