sswaby Posted June 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2009 We will be docking in Civitavecchia on Oct 1 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm We would like to take the train to Rome. Is this fairly easy to do. How much time would we have in Rome and what time does the bus head back to meet our cruise time of 7:00 PM. Any idea of the cost to do this. Ex-Airbalancer Posted June 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2009 In May, the train from Rome to Civitavecchia cost 4.50 euro/person I beleive it was over a hour ride From the train station in Rome you can easily walk to many of the sites in 3 hours A GPS would be very helpfully to get your bearings I will have one the next time I go

You can take a look at these to start: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/search.php?searchid=13611421 Lots of good info out there. Good luck.
