Rare Lois R Posted July 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Have not seen mention of Sudi for quite a while. Has he gone home for good? Hi Patti, I think he has been gone for (maybe) going on 2 years now. I think he was originally going to help open the Martini Bar on Solstice but I believe he had already gone back to Bali before that time. The last time I saw him was on a short cruise I took on Century in Dec 2007.
Rare shipshape sam Posted July 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Yeah, where is Sudi? We got to enjoy his Martini's on two cruises along with his showmanship and great passenger relations. Hope he is doing well! :)
Moeve Posted July 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2009 He became a father and then went home and now has a small travel business on Bali with his brother. He is sorely missed however I am told one of the new bar keeper on the Equinox is also a show man of his kind. If he is as good remains to be seen. Ships R Great Posted July 9, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Lois, we last saw him on Century in January of last year (2008). For some reason he always called us "Mama and Papa". Maybe because he missed hs little boy so much then. He was talking, again!, about going home and working on his travel agent business with his brother. He gave me a business card but I have misplaced it. He was a great entertainer and a nice man. Posted this before Moeve's post came up. I guess he is really gone. PatC Posted July 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2009 This past March on Constellation we had a bartender in the Martini Bar who was very much like Sudi. Can't recall his name, can anyone help? He entertained us nightly with his tricks. Great guy and very friendly
BillC Posted July 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Sudi Artawan has indeed gone into the travel business. I have used him once for one of my clients, and she was totally blown away by his knowledge and professionalism, as well as his loyalty to his country and religion. His email address is: nyoman_sudi@yahoo.com
