Rome FCO Airport Hotels

Joining Navigator sailing from Civitavecchia in October and arriving FCO airport the night before. Can anyone recommend good hotels in the vicinty that we may wish to consider?

There has been a lot of this same question on this board,but the main hotel and it is connected to the terminal is the Hilton.There are some other's in the area. You can search for info on this re this board or check it out on venere.com

We just stayed at the Hilton FCO a few weeks ago. It was fine, but nothing special. The price is high and breakfast was average. And it is not a quick walk through the parking garages! I would be open to anything nearby with a hotel shuttle.

I would consider either staying in Rome proper (and enjoying the city that evening and the next morning) or proceeding to Civitavecchia and staying there overnight prior to your cruise. Either way will make for a more interesting experience than a stay at the airport.

Thanks Karen, Ann & Cynthia. Since we are not arriving FCO until 21:45 we are just looking for a place to put our heads down for the night before travelling on to Civi from the airport railway station the following morning.
