CruisingCatherine Posted July 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2009 I am totally confused. I received copies of a recent Western on the Freedom. According to the Compass, formal night was on night 5 (Grand Cayman). According to the new menus that have been posted, the typical formal night menu (ie. Fisherman's Plate with lobster) is on night 6. I am sure this is because the Freedom is in Cozumel on night 6 and this is a late night port. Are the menu's switched, night 5 switched for night 6, or are the menu's still the same. Please help me figure this out. I am trying to arrange a night at Chops and need to have the in-room babysitting arranged prior to the cruise.
DC2OC Posted July 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2009 On my last cruise the Fishermans Platter was served on the last night not the last formal night as before ----Frank:)
Mark_K Posted July 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2009 I really doubt they would have formal night on a night where the ship is in port until 7:00PM. Why don't you just avoid the problem and arrange for Chops on night three or four?
negc Posted July 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2009 When you get onboard, go to Chops or Portofino, where they can probably show you the main dining room menus for each night of the cruise and you can make your specialty restaurant reservations accordingly. We did the Mariner out of Port Canaveral two years in a row, first eastern and second western. Formal night was Friday on eastern and Thursday on western. Fisherman's platter was on Friday on both the eastern and the western. Freedom has taken over Mariner's routes and based on what you posted, it is doing the same formal nights and menu nights. gagirl7143 Posted July 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Yes the compas changes by what is going on and they often do switch the menu's around. You just pick a day and go for chops...
