KirstyGee1978 Posted July 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Hi there I have been reading how strict Royal is with taking on alcohol I am worried they will be strict with my sons juice, im scared in case they scan the luggage and see my sons bottled juice that they will hold it until the end of the cruise. Should I carry it in my hand luggage while boarding the ship to explain why I need to bring it on board? Kirsty
patseacruiser Posted July 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2009 You can bring juice with you. As long as you don't have the alcohol with it - don't worry. I would probably carry it on because if it breaks open - that's a mess in your luggage.
gerif Posted July 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2009 You don't have to bring much - as long as your son will drink the juices offered at breakfast in the Windjammer, you can just bring some empty sports bottles and/or sippy cups and fill them in the morning, then just keep them in your cabin refrigerator until he wants them. hooked-on-travel Posted July 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2009 You can bring non-alcoholic beverages for forself, as well. My friends were going with us on their first ever cruise. The are Dr. Pepper nuts and I had warned them that the ship wouldn't have their favorite beverage. So, they had a 12-pk with them as a carry-on. Well, the security folks tried to be cute and said they were feeling thirsty and would need to "confiscate" it. Well, not ever having done any of it before my friend freaked out fearing I'd given her bad advice. We got her talked down off the ledge when the security folks apologized and said it was ok, but that confirms it's ok.
cb at sea Posted July 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2009 If it's not "fermented", they don't care! Even juice in bottles won't be confiscated...they can tell the difference!
crusinmama06 Posted July 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Awww this is the sweetest question! :D No, you will be fine. I can't imagine they would take juice from a toddler. ;)
