mosel Posted July 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Every class of ship is different but the Spirit class will have included food in the main dining room, room service and Lido deck buffet. The extra charge areas would be the Steakhouse and the cafe. The Lido deck wiill have the most variety for breakfast and lunch including a deli, 24 hour pizza and soft serve ice cream, traditional buffets where the selection changes daily, mongolian grill, a grill that serves hot dogs and hamburgers and fries. I am probably forgetting some of the areas but the Spirit class Lido restarant seems to go on forever and we haven't sailed her since May 2008. The included restaurants are usually: -The lido buffet, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. also you may find a deli station, a taste of the nations and an Asian corner . also salad bar is located here. The pizza is around the lido restaurant open 24 hrs also soft serve ice cream. -The dinning room(s), you may be assigned one for dinner or you may choose 'your time dinning' - one dinning room is usually open for breakfast and lunch also. -Room service The specialty coffee shops you can expect to pay for and along with a supper club/steakhouse type of restaurant for dinner, you make reservations for. JRock59 Posted July 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Head over to your Cruise Roll Call board, I bet you find someone on it who has Cruised on her before. Or read a few of the Spirit Roll Calls chances are you find someone who can answer your question as it's specific to that ship. Most posters don't mind if you jump on their roll call and ask a question and for those that do well just ask nicely.......:D
CruiseLover824 Posted July 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Don't forget that room service is included too! People suggest giving a tip to the person who delivers, but there is not an additional fee for the food that they bring. The breakfast tends to be continental style, and they serve a lot of sandwiches otherwise....but it is a nice service!:D

sjcruiser Posted July 25, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2009 The prices at the $coffee shop/cafe on the Glory, were similar to coffee shops onland. The prices for cakes, and danish were lower I believe than most bakery's. The strawberry shortcake is very very good.
don24 Posted July 25, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted July 25, 2009 it seems funny to me that the lobster and prime rib are included in cruise but coffee and danish in coffee are not.looks like i will order coffee and danish from room service in morning . i would rather give a tip to a worker anyway than give to coffe shop. Coffee and Danish ARE included in the DR, the buffet, and RS. But if you want the overoasted, bitter, Starbuckish battery acid, you have to pay for it. Max Circus Posted July 25, 2009 #12 Share Posted July 25, 2009 The coffee shop you pay at is like a Starbucks - although I think they serve Seattle's Best Coffee. Also have ice cream frappes (aka milk shakes) - at least on Freedom. A nice selection of cakes and pastries. My financee (now wife) enjoyed the lattes. You can get "regular" coffee at the buffet and MDR. Also, you can get free cappucino in the MDR.
