Rhapsody M&M schedule - why so late?

I've been looking at the Meet & Mingle lists, and wondering, why do they wait till 4 days in to schedule the M&M on the Rhapsody? I know that makes it the second sea day, but couldn't they schedule it for the first sea day? We usually like to meet everyone we've been talking to as soon as we can, not when the cruise is 1/2 over ..... thought maybe someone else might have a better insight on the reasoning ......

I have no idea why they wait but I will be asking when we are on her next month.

 

On our thread we have decided to meet on sailing day so we do not have to wait. We have done this on other ships and it works out great.

We always schedule an informal meeting in the Schooner Bar around 2 or 3 for the day we leave.
