Hi Radio,

Just caught up (was on page 5, but had to go to a conference!)

Great pictures (as always!) When you're taking pics of 1404, could you possibly take pics of 1400? We were in that stateroom and would love one of your great shots. It was the best D1 stateroom we have ever had!

Enjoy your last days at sea...I am so envious!

Hi Weary

Good to talk to you again I don't know if you remember my Dad but he passed away two weeks ago. Mom and Dad were booked on the Liberty for a B2B on Sept 26 and Oct 3 so my sister and I are going with Mom. Dads last wish was to make sure Mom goes on this Cruise. I think Beej & Naomie is going to be on the Oasis with us in 2010 Martha & I and Mom are doing a B2B in Oct on her I cant wait for that Cruise.

Talk at you later.

Gary

THANKS RADIO!!!

I'm enjoying your cruise vacation, also. I'll be sailing on her, early next year. Your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for posting so many.

I'm curious to know what the dining room attire has been on your sailing. Do you notice the majority of people following the recommended dress code or are you seeing lots of jeans in the MDR?

Hello everyone. . . Today was a great day. I ot off of the ship at about 1100AM today, and we walked through the Terminal right ouy to the taxi center.

We went down to Chankanaab Park as planned. The cab ride was only $5 PP each way (A real value !) It was a quick ride as well (only 4mi). When we arrived we each paid for the Combo Admission. It was only $19, that included entrance to th epark, a Chankanaab T-shirt, and a can of beer or soda.

I love the way that Chankanaab Park was rebuilt. There is a huge Dolphin Discovery area there that people can watch and view the people who are doing the Dolphin Adventure. You can really get a feel for what the Adventure is all about. We walked down a little further past the fresh water pool, and the children’s salt water lagoon.

When we arrived at the snorkel/swim/dive area we need to get wet, so we jumped in and cooled off. The water there sparkles so much. It is a great snorkel location. There were thousands of tropical fish is the water, and a couple of statues that were place there to attract fish. There are lifeguards there, changing rooms, restrooms, and showers. There are also a few restaurants, and several beach bars.

We decided to come back to the port area to grab a bite to eat nearby. We went over to El Cid Resort (La Cieba) and had a great local cooked meal. The resort seems to be very nice. I purchased a day pass there several years ago for only $42, but the price has now increase to $75/PP (ouch !) Our lunch was reasonable. . .only $28 total for both.

I went back to the ship, and dozed off for a few minutes (Oooops) That’ is why this report is so late. The weather was in our favor today. It was hot with no rain. . .we could see a big storm forming from the west, but we were dry all day !

Here are a few pics from today. . .

Thanks for tuning in !

Weary-

I see that your last cruise was NCL Majesty in 2007. Was it the Western Caribbean from Charleston? We cruised NCL Majesty from Charleston - March 2007. Our last stop was Key West & that was the 1st time we saw the FoS. It was blocking our sunset view & in a few minutes sailed away- IT WAS SO BIG next to our ship. We said that day- maybe someday ??? !!! Majesty had no Balconies- FoS had so many balconies- we thought -O that would be so great !!

WE sail the FoS on Nov 8. BALCONY - Here we come !!!! We are doing the EASTERN islands this time. Counting the days 91 & counting.

RADIO- we have so enjoyed your LIVE REVIEW !!! Most enjoyed the Pictures. I hope you are taking time to enjoy yourself !!

Radio :D

Thank you ever so much for sharing your cruise with us this week! Enjoy the ship today, and if at all possible - will you be posting some interior shots of the ship? Our roll call (August 23rd) has been following this thread with much anticipation - we are so ready to cruise!!!! :)

Have a great day on the Freedom of the Seas!!!!

Radio, it's been said many times before but you can never say it enough...THANK YOU! Your posts and pictures have been fantastic!

I was wondering what your thoughts were on the shows and activities on board? - Any that are "can't miss" and those that were just "so so"? There is so much to do on FOS that your feedback would be helpful for us to plan ahead and not feel so rushed trying to do everything.

How has the staff been? Any stand out bartenders we should visit or MTD servers we should ask for? we will be sailing in September so not sure if their contracts would be up by then but it would be good to know just in case.

Last question, do you know what time FOS arrives into Port Canaveral? I would love to see it come in to port on the webcam.

Thank you again for bringing us along this week. RCI should let you sail for free for this great marketing service you are providing them! :)

Hello everyone ! I woke up today to another beautiful sunny morning. It is hard to believe that one could have a 7 night cruise with all sunny skies, and no rain.

So far, it has been a great cruise. I have a lot of things lined up for today. The Platinum, Diamond, and D+ had a breakfast this morning in the MDR. They had one of the Officers at each large table. There is no PL/DI/D+ party like they used to have in the evening. There is still a C&A member (All levels) party on Tuesday though. I will do some Ice Skating later today, and maybe have time for Flow Rider !

The Casino was nice to me last night, and I must go back there. I have a D+ Behind the Scenes tour this afternoon, and the grand Circus Parade is scheduled for 545PM.

I went last night to one of the best shows I have seen on a Cruise Ship. It was the “Now You See It” show starring Drew Thomas. You wont believe what you see. . . The end of the Show is wonderful ! This show is a must see event.

Here are a few pics from this last night and this morning. . .There will be many more later today. I will also try to post many shots that I have not posted to Cruise Critic yet. (Including interior pics)

Thanks for the nice comments. . .
