Royal Carribbean Explorer of the Seas Aug. 15-20th

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

This is my 1st cruise and I have a few questions: should we bring our own beach towels to take with us when docked in Bermuda or does the cruise ship supply them? which night is formal night? which night is the ice show and how or when do we book it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

sounds like you are on the 5 night bermuda.

formal ngiht will be the 2nd night.

the ice show will be a couple nights, and if you check your cruise compass, they will tell you when to get tickets, which are free-you just want to get there a little ahead (usually it is the morning of the 1st sea day)

you can take pool towels with you from the ship(just remember to bring them back) or bring your own.....whatever floats your boat!

have fun!

Cruise Compass is the ship's daily activities circular. One is left in

your cabin everyday. It will have times and events for everything

going on on the ship.

I have read on here however that they have changed the name

recently.

Have a great cruise. Explorer is a beautiful ship with a great crew.

We just returned from the 5-night Bermuda cruise (Aug 1). We had a wonderful time!

It is still the Cruise Compass, delivered nightly to your stateroom.

The ice show was on the two sea days - Sunday and Wednesday - at 3PM and again at 5PM. Ticket distribution was from 7PM-9PM on embarkation night, we had main dining and picked up our tickets around 7:45 after we finished dinner - there were still tickets for all performances available at that time. We also did the "standby" so we could see the show a 2nd time - arriving about 15 minutes prior to performance to see if seating was available (it was.)

You can pick up beach towels by the main pool - you have to sign them out. If you don't return them, you will be charged $20.

Formal night was Sunday.
