candy46 Posted August 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Any suggestions on which Luau to attend while we are in Honolulu before our cruise begins? Does Germaines have a nice one? Thanks in advance for comments!
bakerintn Posted August 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2009 If you have the time, check out the Polynesian Cultural Center...probably the most authentic luau on Ohau. here is a link: http://polynesia.com/

RenieRaider Posted August 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2009 We purchased Pre Cruise, OnLine with Germaine's. They gave us all handy Back Packs that EVERYONE used throughout the cruise. It was a nice Luau. Buffet style. We had a whole long table of us and my DH ended up On Stage, wearing a coconut bra and doing the Hula. LOL Too funny. AND he won! He's a good sport. The Poly Center is awesome but it is way north and if time is of the essesnce, keep that in mind. Check out Germaine's Website. They were great to work with. Aloha! DaDead Posted August 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2009 If all you want is a luau and some entertainment, than Germaines is good, its a couple of hours and its a lot closer to Waikiki. The Polynesian Cultural Center is also good if you want to experience a lot of different south seas cultures, but, it is farther away and you'd probably want to make a day of it. :)
Giantfan13 Posted August 11, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2009 We did Germaines as they had a 25% off counpon in the entertanment book. But we probably would have gone anyway. It was very nice. The location might be a bit wary, but once you get to the beach location, it is awsome. The food was good, the show was very good and there are 3 free drinks per person, something the PCC cannot offer. These pictures came from the beach where the luau was. http://family.webshots.com/photo/2616103170056896458KCyMQR http://family.webshots.com/photo/2285578590056896458CLRjqT
sealuber Posted August 11, 2009 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2009 We lived in Honolulu for 4 years, the ONLY luau we took our guests to was Paradise Cove Luau, it is the most authentic luau out there. http://www.paradisecovehawaii.com/
