adwalsh Posted August 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2009 My DH and I will be sailing on the Diamond next month. Will we be able to make reservations on embarkation day for the 2 formal nights for Sterling and/or Sabatini's? If reservations may be made upon boarding, do we call from our cabin or go to the specific restaurants? In the past with anytime dining we've not really made reservations - we just show up to MDR but would like to have something scheduled for the 2 formal nights this time around. Thanks in advance. Rare Tak8 Posted August 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Yes, you can make reservations on embarkation day. Just phone for dining reservations. They may be busy. I had to try two or three times before I got through to a live person on my last Princess cruise.
Woodmnky Posted August 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2009 There is usually someone in front of the specialty restaurants on embarkation day to take reservations. Yes, you can usually make reservations for any night that you desire at that time. Enjoy.

georoc01 Posted August 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2009 If you can't get through on the dine line, just go up to Horizon Court on Embarkation. At the entrance, they had one table signing up soda cards and adjacent was a table for the specialty resturants.
Clutterlady Posted August 17, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Found, that it takes too long to get through to the dining line, the tables set up have lines that are too long also! Go right to the venue you want to dine at as soon as you board and you can book right there. Simple and no long lines or wait time:)
