Explain to me about a 4F on Legend

We booked an inside guarantee and got our cabin assignment today. It is a 4F on the main deck. Looking at the deck plans it looks like we are on the outside with lifeboats beside us. I have done a search on here and it seems that this is an oceanview with an obstructed view. I am very excited about this cabin assignment. One post said the french door opens and another said they do not. On the down side, we are right smack in the middle of a lifeboat. Will we be able to see anything at all or will the lifeboat cover the entire door? Thanks for the information.

you have what used to be a 5a cabin obstructed view balcony, you will have french doors that open and you can see out but there will be a lifeboat right in front of the doors, you wont be able to go out like a balcony. If you search webshots.com you will find some pictures of these cabins. It is a great upgrade. Some of the cabins that are between life boats you will have a view.

If I will be able to open the door and there is no balcony . Is there a screen/grate there? Is it only one door or two. Thanks for the information. Sorry I know nothing about these cabins.

They have french doors (2 doors).

Found this by searching Carnival spirit 5a.

Thanks so much for the picture. That gives me a better idea of what to expect. I am looking sooooo forward to our cruise. Have been wanting to try a Carnival cruise for several years.

MOST of these cabins have french doors that open EXCEPT the handicapped cabins that have only a window (does not open). What is your cabin #?
