  1. They to be having a problem. It will probably resolve in a day or two.
  2. Last I heard, in the Villas, with the Butler, you get unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), lots of appetizers, and a 3 or 4 course lunch from the Pinnacle restaurant. The benefits should be listed on the HAL website excursion page.
  3. California is proposing to regulate CLEAR. But that would only be California. United Airlines owns a big chunk of CLEAR. I doubt its going away. Personally I don't see a value in it, but United has been almost giving it away, at least on a trial basis, so, it has gained popularity. We have GE, and it has worked fine.
  4. Don't count on KW staying on your itinerary. Many threads here about the local issues.
  5. Have you looked at the train schedule on trenitalia.com? That is going to be your best info. I think you are going to be stressing.
  6. Sort of an apples and oranges comparison. Viking is an entirely different cruise line from Princess. Does Viking go the Glacier Bay? If not, then I would suggest Princess.
  7. You will probably get more expertise if you ask on the Cruise Air board. WestJet Flys all over Canada and to many airports in the US. It's not limited to Seattle.
  8. No. The only likely place a PIN might be required is unstaffed ticket machines or similar. Otherwise, tap cards should be fine. Internationally, it is well known that US issued credit cards generally (there are a few that do...we carry one) don't have PINs. We will be in Canada on a land trip in about 3 weeks. Make sure your credit card and bank (for your ATM card) knows you will be out of the US.
  9. Not from what I saw on the Zaandam earlier this month. I commonly went through the casino about 5:00 am to check out ESPN on the Mix bar and the map of the ship's location. Other than some lights on, no signs of life in the casino any morning, sea day, or not.
  10. I agree, a pick up after 8am is fine...as you mention, you are not in any rush. If you were in a rush, I would say 7am. And as mentioned, virtually any hotel will hold your luggage.
  11. When the casino opens on sea days varies a little by ship, but it is never open "all day". It may not open until 10am, or noon, or something like that. But HAL have never run a 24 hour casino that I have ever seen.
  12. There are many shuttle recommendations, if you look around the board...SAS, QLS, Jiffy Jeff, GO Shuttle, a couple others.
  13. Everyone is an expert in how emergency responders should do their jobs. It always takes us too long to get to emergencies (like we don't like to drive with lights and sirens to calls, but then some complain we make too much noise arriving)...the list of expert advice we get could fill a War and Peace sized novel. And a second novel on people's illogical and selfish behavior. Not absolving the caption of Concordia one bit. But have seen far to many people behaving badly in emergencies... 35 years in emergency services...
