  1. Most ships sail with all cabins occupied all year. What makes a cruise more or less crowded is the number of passengers per cabin. Many cabins have a 3rd and 4th berth. Generally these berths are filled by youth, parents sailing with their children. If you select a cruise when school is in session the less probability cabins will have 3rd and 4th berths occupied. Alaska cruises, holiday cruises tend to have more people on board.
  2. I did not see table game instructions mentioned in the activity listings on my last cruise. Ask in the casino once on board. There are instruction videos on line. I now & then I'll play some craps. It looks difficult, but in reality it's easy. Pass line (win or make your point) bets are common. With a pass line bet you win even money if the player rolls a 7 or 11. You lose if the player rolls a 2, 3 or 12, called craps. Any other number is a point. You win if the player rolls the point number before rolling a 7. You lose if the player rolls a 7 before rolling the point number. There is more to it, such as odds, but that's the 1st base easy description. Craps has the lowest house edge in the casino. Negative on craps is that the table usually is only open later in the evening.
  3. Are you certain you have an assigned boarding time? Princess does not really have assigned boarding times. They use boiler plate times such as you mentioned, 12:30. Check in usually begins around 9:30 to 10am. This is when passengers are permitted to enter the terminal and proceed through security. Boarding usually begins somewhere around 10:30 to 11:00am with priority boarders. You are in the priority boarder category. Once boarding begins it moves quickly.

  5. You do not have to select your traditional or reserved time dining before board. BUT, if you don't the available times will be limited. I feel it is better to select and then change if you wish once on board. You select dining in the app. There is no program to select on the web version. Specialty restaurants are those such as the Crown Grill Steak House, and Sabatini's Italian restaurant. When you pre-book on line there is a charge to your credit card at the time of booking. If you have the premier fare package there is no charge for these restaurants. Princess does not use the word "select" for its restaurants. There are the MDRs, Specialty and Casual Restaurants. There are also dining experiences. One example is the Chef's Table.
  6. There are 3 MDRs. One is used for early & late seating traditional dining. Another is used for reserved time dining where you select your dining time. Dining times are every 20 minutes from 5pm until around 9pm. Another is used for walk in dining. There is a section of one DR set aside for those in full suites and reserved class mini suites. This is walk in dining with prompt seating and improved service. One DRs is open each day for breakfast and lunch on sea days. Other included dining options include the World Fresh Market Place buffet, the grill and pizza by the slice by the Lido pools, International Cafe in the Piazza on deck 5.
  7. This past winter on a 14 day Circle the Caribbean I believe the menus were different each day. I believe there were some items that repeated.
  8. FYI. Standard, non HCP, cabin doors are 22 inches wide. Your scooter have to be able to fit through. Scooters have to be stored in side the cabin.
  9. What are you trying to say? What's wrong with the simple credit/debit system that uses up non refundable OBC first? How is the passenger faulted with this system?
  10. First things first. When you play the slots there is an option to charge play to your on board account. Your on board account may have non-refundable OBC and refundable OBC. From my experience the on board accounting system uses non refundable OBC first. Once that is used up it uses refundable OBC. If you have both refundable and non refundable in your account you can't designate which to use. Second. When charging to your on board account you must play some. When you do play you can cash out at any time.
  11. There is probably one in the gym. Use only when docked in port. Scales do not provide accurate measurements while the ship is in motion at sea.
  12. Boarding at a U.S. port for a 3 or 4pm sailing? Normal check in time is around 10am. Boarding usually begins around 10:30/11am with priority boarders. Once boarding begins it goes fairly quickly. There are no assigned boarding times, and no boarding passes. All you need is your passport. Print a copy of the Travel Summary to bring along as back up. It's no problem you can easily pick up the medallion at the pier. It's a 5 minute process. Last check in is around 90 minutes before sailing time.
  13. You can use OBC to play at the casino and then cash in your winnings or your remaining balance. But, you must play. You can not use the casino as an ATM. Refundable OBC remaining in your account will be returned to you after you disembark.
  14. They don't really change very much. Some items may be eliminated and some added.
