No, not related to the all-inclusive drinks thread :)

Can I take a small travel steamer on board? I’m sure I have read somewhere that you cannot take a travel iron but I was wondering about a steamer for taking the fold creases out of t shirts etc.

I know about using the shower steam for de creasing dress shirts and tux but t shirts won’t be hung up on hangers just left folded up in a draw /suitcase.

Can't see that they won't allow you. After all. Phone chargers, laptop and camera chargers are not taken off you.

The power drain on those items is much less than an iron or a steamer. I have to bring a CPAP machine with me and although it is regularly checked by the Hospital it was issued by the ships Electrical Officer still has to check it to see if it is safe.

We once did a ships bridge tour and were told the reason no irons etc is that the alarms are very sensitive. If the alarm goes off, then the security people have to visit the cabin to check all is well. They even said that someone had set off the alarm by using too much hair spray!
