D C Posted November 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Sailing on the Independence next month. Found another thread where someone had posted this awesome link for the menus: http://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/download-press-kit/7/ Does anyone know which order they're in on the Independence for a 5 night Western? Curious to know what we'd be missing if we ducked out of the MDR for a specialty restaurant. Thanks! Dave
Peeker28 Posted November 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Thanks for posting. I'm interested in the order also, we are going in March and would like to go to Chops one night
geminitwin Posted November 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Indy 5 night western sailing earlier this month had similar but not identical menu. (Note the date on the last page of the menu.) Prime rib was first night; lobster the last if that helps.
Graystonia Posted November 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Just got off the ship last week and this looks very familiar to the order.

Do you recall the menu for Formal Night, or any of the dishes in particular? Thanks!

Was the third or fourth night, but can't remember if I had Duck or Lamb with Formal. So much food, seems like every night they would bring two "3-course" meals. 9 of us so we also had a couple meals in the middle of the table to sample and of course your own meal. Every cruise we have done this year, it has the Roast Duck on the first formal night which on the 5 day Independence will be Night 2. FLACRUISER99 Posted November 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2015 I went to Chops on Formal night and missed the Duck and Lamb menu.

A couple of family-style meals in the middle of the table is a great idea. We'll have 12 of us (is there even a single table setup that big?) Every cruise we have done this year, it has the Roast Duck on the first formal night which on the 5 day Independence will be Night 2. Then "Saffron" it is for formal night. Thanks! Recall the order otherwise?
D C Posted December 1, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted December 1, 2015 I may have dug enough and found enough other RCL references to have somewhat answered my own question. It seems as though the concensus is that the order is the same on every ship, and goes: Mojo, Saffron, Pimiento, Shiitake, Basil (plus Jasmine, Pomodoro for 7n)
