Passport renewal times?

Getting ready to apply for my renewal passport. Anyone recently apply and how long did it take. I am most interested in regular passport times (not paying additional for expedited service).

For the past two years turn around time has been between 2 and 3 weeks. It will occasionally go to 4 weeks, but it is usually closer to 3.

Renewed in April...took two weeks to get new passports.

Our passports expire in October. I mailed in our aps and check on April 15th. Mine arrived a little over a week ago and me darling wife's arrived yesterday.

My sister in law works as a supervisor in a passport processing center. It seems that the president has proposed a 38% reduction in the department of state's budget under which passports fall. I shall leave it to you folks to determine whether or not that is a good or bad thing and what impact a cut like that could have on processing times.

Thanks. Mine expires in November. So 4-5 weeks. I better get mine in the mail soon.

Also, thanks for the insight on staffing. Doesn't sound good.

My house is for sale and that complicates things address wise. Maybe I can use my work address.

Submitted to USPS office in person April 15. Received Passport Book in the mail via Routine service (not expedited) May 19. Received Passport Card and Old Passport in separate envelopes May 20.

I just renewed; it took 5 weeks.

Mailed in July, took 12 days. Last one 10 years ago took 13 weeks.

Renewed our passport books in June, both took just under three weeks to receive. Our passport cards and old passport books came a couple of days after the new books. Processing was normal time, not expedited.

Just got our renewals in, less than 2 weeks!
