Royal Suite

Recommended Posts

We have booked the Royal Suite on Indy for next year when she is back in the UK.

We stopped in a OS on our last cruise on Indy so we know all the suite perks that you get. But my question is . Is there anything aditional perks being in the RS ? Many thanks.

We meet a nice couple that were in Royal suite on last cruise, they invited us for wine and snack ( shrimp and other goodies) all supplied by RCCL, they were also invited to dine with captain. Also I believe concierge meet them and escorted them to suite.

Thanks for the information. Which ship? We are booked RS for Enchantment, Aug. 24th. This is the messed up "itinerary." Hoping my sisters and Mom won't be totally disappointed! Spinning it any which way I am able.:(

If you have kids, they can be in the ice show. Ours got picked up by the skaters and taken around the ice in a train.

Complimentary pressing for formal night.

A bottle of chilled champagne was in our room when we embarked. I think it was Moët?

We did not get escorted onto the ship. And were not invited to the captain's table.

Maybe because you had small children. Was this on your Chinese cruise

Yes!! Good memory!

Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything since it seems like the suite experience is different across the fleet. My kids aren't that small tho - they are 9. But I guess that is still young haha.

Recently on Grandeur we were met at the entrance to the pier and escorted aboard, Suite was ready at 10am, a couple bottles of wine when we boarded, and sweets and treats everyday all week, Jorge our concierge comped me a tux and we had dinner at the captains table, he also did a lot of other little things as well, way over the top for us but if you can experience at least once it was worth it.

Last week we stayed in the new royal suite on the oasis, and I can't remember any extra perks for the royal suite. The first time I stayed in it, they gave us a few free professional family portraits in Central Park, but everything else was normal suite perks.

I'm hoping the soon to be announced  suite enhancements will give more features to the higher level suites much like Celebrity

Agreed! The new Coastal kitchen was great too!

You got that right. We enjoyed it as JS guests (dinner only) On Oasis and are hoping they continue doing that. I've heard that is not the case with Allure. Not sure Laura will ever go back to MDR now.

Fingers crossed that they can figure out a way to add CK to existing ships

We thought it strange that suite guests on Celebrity X seem to have a higher range of enhancements than on RCI ? I did ask the question direct with RCI about Internet being complimentary on Celebrity X ? RCI said that there was no plans to introduce that at the moment.

Mark,

We just recently enjoyed a week in RS on Jewel, see a mini review I did

In signature.

Concierge got sheet music for our DD, piano works perfectly fine for proper playing of the piano, the Auto-Player also worked, not that it was needed.

Hidden under the cushion of the piano seat, you will find CD's and remote control..;)

We had a PS3 and arranged with concierge a few weeks before we sailed, which games DD wanted, they were in room on embarkation.

Free flowing wine and Moët, ice stand was never empty, and there always seemed to be one or two bottles being chilled.

Fruit plates, nibbles and fresh offerings pretty much everyday.

Binoculars in room.

Concierge met us at check in, escorted onto ship and were able to drop all of our luggage into Suite, from memory this was around 11am. We were also joined by the Guest Service manager.

Priority disembarkation, you arrange a time with Concierge and you'll be escorted off, really smooth and very quick.

Enjoy the RS

On a side note WEDNESDAY or UTD😄

Happy Days!
