Cruise cash

Every payday I have been buying some cruise cash for my on board account. I know if you don't use it you lose it. But I am sure I read somewhere that you can transfer over any monies to your players bank and cash out at the casino on your last night, is this true? Also, a second question..when walking off the ship in Nassau, are there "SAFE" independent tours you can take around the island, we have done this in other ports, but I heard Nassau is very unsafe.and it will be only woman and children on this cruise, Husbands staying home.

Answer to your 1st question is yes you can cash out in the casino. Sorry don't know the answer to your second question.

Ditto the previous poster on cashing out in the casino- it's really easy.

As for the excursion, if you're unsure, probably safer to go with a Carnival excursion...

Ref independent tours; I wouldn't worry about a 'safe tour'. I wouldn't walk off the ship and walk around the area. If you want to remain cautious; also don't walk off the ship and deal with the vendors in the port area. Just get on the ports of call board and TripAdvisor and you will get the names of several reputable tour companies and contact one of them to arrange something ahead of time.
