WE are doing a Back to Back Cruise on the Breeze. The beginning of our second week will be Super Bowl Sunday... Will we be able to watch Super Bowl in our Rooms ? Sports Bar? yuk........ or just on Lido deck big screen??

We aren't big partyers.... so prefer to watch from our room...

Anyone have any thoughts, or experience?

thanks for your help!!!!!!

The Super Bowl is everywhere. The big screen, sports bar and the main show lounge.

On the Magic last year they delayed the Welcome Aboard Show until after the game.

The booth type seats went fast, so dash in there right after muster.

There was great munchies on the buffet and my wife and I took turns going to get food. Full bar wait staff in the lounge too!

Depending on where the ship is located,(signal) since the super bowl is on a main channel (i.e. CBS, NBC, Fox or ABC)...you would be able to see it in your room.

Not been our experience. It's on in the cabins.

We have been on many cruises for super bowl and it was on everywhere. Some areas have some great football type snacks, we have even had drink specials. Why stay in your room, you are on vacation!

Was onboard the fantasy last year for the college football playoffs (semifinals) and it was on and celebrated all over the ship. They had flags hung up for each school, and drink specials for the team colors, pretty cool environment especially sailing out of Charleston with a TON of Clemson fans. Now normally sports are limited to the Sports Bar because that is the only place they televise ESPN, but this years Superbowl is on CBS so I would think it will be on in your room as well.

Been on several cruises on Superbowl Sunday including Carnival, Games have been on in Sports Bar, Casino, Main Theater, and in cabins on all lines. not always the American network Feed so no superbowl commercials. also somewhere on board there have been snacks available during the game. also went to dining room so we could meet our tablemates for the rest of the cruise and there were maybe 50 people in the entire dining room so we left and watched the rest of the game in the theater.:)

Hard to avoid seeing the Super Bowl onboard.

Was on the Miracle last year for Super Bowl and it was shown everywhere. Year before we were on Princess, similar set-up.

Yes - this is our experience as well! They make a day of it - trivia, drink specials and snack all around the game.

Can't speak for every ship, but we were on the Conquest 2 years ago for Superbowl Sunday (Patriots vs. Seahawks) and they had the game on the big screen, sports bar and in room.

  • 4 weeks later...
not always the American network Feed so no superbowl commercials.

Last year on our ship the feed was from ESPN Latin America. Learned everything I needed to know about the West Indies Cricket tournament from the ads.

Humorous post except you realize the Super Bowl wasn't on ESPN. It was broadcast via network television on CBS.

Actually outside of the USA the Super Bowl is broadcast on many different stations, and ESPN Latin America is one of them.

That may be, but on Carnival Caribbean cruises, they usually pick up a signal from Miami based stations. The Super Bowl will usually be broadcast to the ship by the US national channel that goes through Miami.
