Best Carnival Casino?

I recently sailed on Carnival Miracle and I've gotta say I've never seen a cruise ship casino (on any line) pay this well. I had taxable winnings of $20k and saw many, many handpays. Here is a list of what I saw or hit myself during the 14 days (bet amount - if known - included):

We were on the Miracle 8/12 to 8/19. Never saw those kind of wins just a lot of money going into the machines.

We loved the breeze they had Alot of the new games out. I hope next month the vista is that generous :)

I thought I read the breeze :) well that's a good ship too for gambling

We haven't seen many Casino's on ships good though my only handpay was on Princess wheel of fortune machine

That's pretty sad. Quantity doesn't necessary equal quality. I could understand if this site was giving out say $5.00 gift cards to major retail chains for reaching certain post count numbers to keep people coming back and posting....but just to have a high post count for the sake of it seems....pointless. To each their own I guess if it fulfills them. :confused:

It is tightly regulated in Las Vegas, not so much in Indian casinos, and almost no oversight on ships. Ships for the most part do not pay progressives that are syndicated like Wheel of Fortune which hovers around a million (often paid over time) but Carnival pays $ 20K for the top wheel prize, for the same bet that would win the million in Vegas.

Rate of return is quite low on the ships. around 70% they way I calculate it. They are not big on disclosing the return. Vegas is lowest on the Strip at about 83% for quarters, and up to (but not always) 97% for dollars. Away from the strip 98% is easy to find.

When you push the button a random number generator selects a result, and that is how much you win is determined, if anything. After that everything is just entertainment. Any bonus, pick a tag, or select 10 or 20 free games is all just for the fun of it, because the amount you have won was selected when you pushed the button. There are some exceptions, but those machines are rare.

I believe this is accurate. I've worked in a casino for almost 25 years and I know many slot attendants and slot techs. The techs tell me that slots can be programmed to pay low, medium and high payouts only. We always find the earlier in the cruise the better the payouts. It may be a coincidence but seems accurate for us. Maybe they are programmed at high earlier in the cruise to get the casino full then changed midway through. Towards the end like the last sea day they just eat our money! Just my 2 cents :)

So when I played Jackpot Party and picked the "Pooper" on the second box, when they showed me where everything was that was BS?

I like playing games with like that, with a bonus where I feel like my picks have an impact on payout. I always just assumed that part of the game was like a scratch card. Don't like to think they're putting whatever they want under the selection I make after I make it. Saying I'm gonna get the same result weather I take 5 free spins with more wilds or 20 free spins with none, just takes all the fun out of the decision!

I like playing games with like that, with a bonus where I feel like my picks have an impact on payout. I always just assumed that part of the game was like a scratch card. Don't like to think they're putting whatever they want under the selection I make after I make it. Saying I'm gonna get the same result weather I take 5 free spins with more wilds or 20 free spins with none, just takes all the fun out of the decision!

I know when I first learned that no matter what I picked it wouldn't matter, it was a little disappointing. But, at the same time I no longer kick myself for picking the "wrong" thing. I still like picking, even though I know it doesn't matter.

Another thing that helps is knowing that when someone sits at a machine you just got up from and they hit a big jackpot doesn't mean that you would have hit it - unless you pressed the button at the exact second that person did.

I just got off the Carnival Miracle 9/16/17 and saw more people receiving handpays on this cruise than any of the 10+ previous cruises I've been on. I myself won $3,000 & $2,500 on video poker and various wins on slots ranging in $500 - $800. The casino was always packed and the "hot" slots were always full with people waiting to jump in a vacated seat.

I guess I should quit wasting my time playing Blackjack, eh?:p
