Where is the snorkelling excursion on the sun princess in Cairns on Nov. 1

We will be on the Sun Princess beginning on Oct. 8, 2017. All the excursions are available for purchase but it does not have a snorkelling excursion from Cairns. It lists a #1 and #7 which are snorkelling events to the Great Barrier Reef but no excursions available. Does anyone know why?

Hoping they just forgot to include it.

Only Princess will know why. Perhaps they were unable to arrange a snorkelling trip that day. The ship doesn't arrive in Cairns until 10am and that may be too late to include a reef excursion.

You might be able to book a private excursion through this company http://www.cairnstoday.com.au/cairns/half-day-reef-tours.247/big-cat-green-island-reef-cruises.1014/ as they offer half day tours.

You can catch a ferry over to Green Island and snorkel off the beach there.

I agree with you that this would be the simplest in the time available but I don't know if Green Island has snorkel gear for hire. There are a few other activities on Green Island so it is a reasonable destination, although not the outer reef.

Thank you all for the quick reply. It turns out that there is now a snorkelling excursion up. I booked it! Yea! Can't wait to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef!
