Internet speed on Quest and Journey

Do the Azamara ships now have the higher speed internet like what they have on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity? Thanks.

It is a bit unstable in some areas, but the speed is good enough to have a Call on facebook or skype while at sea.

It's better than it was, but it's nowhere near the standard of Voom on Royal Caribbean.

Cruised on Journey in SE Asia in January and the simple answer is no.

We were on Quest for 26 days in December and the internet was extremely variable, and performance did not appear to relate to whether we were in port or not!

Agreed. It's fine for emails with attachments, surfing the web and FaceTime / WhatsApp calls.

We're on Journey now. No problem at all with email, web surfing, posting to Facebook (my Facebook name is Jerry Rabinowitz). We've also have FaceTime chats with our grandchildren.

It depends a lot on where you are, what the satellite conditions and locations are, it is amazing how it is transmitted and how it travels from one place to another via satellite. Certainly a lot more difficult than our cable at home. Usually there is an explanation in the daily information, read it and wonder.
