we did not use this tour company as they were not offering the tour the day we were in port but he was very quick and responsive by email.

Where exactly is Wernemeuke?

Try "Friends of Dave" Tours-the guide is Christian and he is really great-we absolutely loved the tour-think there were 8 of us from the ship.

Warnemunde is in Germany and this is the city OP must be referring to when including Rostock. Many choose to do Berlin from this port.

We did the ship's included tour to Rostock and it was great. Our guide was funny and informative, lots of walking. We then walked around Warnemunde, up and down the beach...we were going to do Friends of Dave but he didn't offer tours the day we were in port. And when Viking opened up Rostock we jumped on it. We were going to do the train on our own to Shwerin castle but changed our minds and were glad we did.

If you find yourself in Rostock at noon, see the Astronomical Clock.......it is truly amazing and chimes at noon. It was built in the 1400's...Easter dates for every year were calculated through 2017!!!
