helendaw Posted September 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2016 Is it required to use reef-friendly sunscreen if you are not going to go diving or snorkeling, we just went to go into the water and swim. Can't find where to buy reef friendly sunscreen, except for on-line. Does anyone check what type of sunscreen you use on the beach. Thanks in advance. Need at least spf 50 sunscreen. CruiserBruce Posted September 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) Have been to Mexico dozens of times. Have heard discussions about reef friendly sunscreens, but they are not required, and there certainly isn't anybody inspecting your sun lotion. The most intense discussions we have heard was at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Edited September 21, 2016 by CruiserBruce
Laurie S. Posted September 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2016 Any dive shop would carry it. Please keep non-safe sunscreen out of the water.
