QM2 engine problems again

It seems Pod 3 is playing up again. Too much heat and humidity and they are having to vent the pod to reduce the temperature before we can sail from Rio. I suspect the original 3 hour delay may be an under estimate.

what happens if it over heats on Transatlantic crossing do they stop until it cools down.

It's one of four pods so they can still make good speed with the remaining three. But it's one of two steerable pods so having it out of commission leaves the ship without redundant steering which is crucial when entering and leaving port.

I wonder if pod-problem is with the same pod (# 3), reoccurring, or if this is a different one ??? (I didn't pay attention, if this was mentioned before, sorry).

 

My understanding is that re-fit is not about mechanical repairs. Those seem to be addressed on a "as needed" basis.
