Can Oosterdam verandas connect??

We are considering side-by-side Neptune Suites for our family on an Oosterdam cruise. We know that none of the suites have connecting doors, but can the divider between the verandas be open for passage from one room to the other??

Is it guaranteed, or "at the discretion of the captain"? (We were actually told that on another cruise line once in the past.)

Most of them do connect and can be opened. I don't know about guaranteed, but a polite request usually does the trick.

According to the deck plans there are connecting suites.

Neptunes: 7074-7076, 7082-7084, 7087-7089

Signatures: 8075-8077, 8078-8080, 8083-8085, 8086-8088, 8091-8093, 8090-8092, 8095-8097

Some Neptune Suites do have connecting doors. Check out the deck plan. (jtl513, we were posting at the same time)

We always just ask our Room Attendant if they could please open it up and they do. However, if you are thinking of some of the other Cruise Lines where the entire divider opens up and it becomes one huge balcony, they don't on HAL Ships. A portion of the divider has a door that opens but about 2/3 of the divider is still in place.

I didn't realize there were in fact some connecting Neptunes....unfortunately, not available for the cruise we're looking at, but good to know in the future!

It is just a small door at the railing that will open up.
