Cruisin Around Posted August 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2016 Hi All! Any recent Anthem cruisers know anything about a chocolate breakfast? I just recently heard about this and was wondering when it was and if it's on all the ships. Any info would be helpful! Thanks! Gina

dedosr Posted August 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2016 The chocolate breakfast is served in the dining room. You could probably ask what day it will be offered. We had it on the Oasis and Allure and it was good. Some offerings are chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate croissants, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate milkshakes, etc. On those ships service in the dining room for breakfast was quick. However, when we were on the Quantum and the Anthem, we only went to the dining room once on each ship. For whatever reason breakfast service is so slow, we are talking nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes each time, and the food was cold. Hopefully they will figure out what the problem is soon on those ships for breakfast in the dining room. We never went back, so not sure if it is offered on those ships. Last time we went on the Oasis, worst service for breakfast!!! Sloooooowww! Won't do it again. Wasn't worth it. But they did have the chocolate breakfast. What time did you have breakfast? Was it a peak time? Going on the Anthem in a couple of weeks and may not want to have breakfast in the main dining room on the Boston day, since we have an excursion at 9:30 am. Thanks! baileymouse Posted August 28, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2016 Funny, we had that menu on the Enchantment one morning. My daughter loved the chocolate chip pancakes. So few people ate in the dining room that service was fast.

From what I have read service is always slow for breakfast except in one post where someone reported that a guest yelled at a server and demanded quick service. Hopefully it is better now, but was not then.

Just to be safe, we may have to grab a quick breakfast at the buffet or one of the coffee shops before the excursion. Cafe 270 is a nice choice for breakfast. And it is quick. They have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast wraps, meats, a good variety of bagels and toppings, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and juice.
