Had to cancel our booking due to medical reason. How long does it usually take to receive a credit for deposit made on our credit card?

A lot depends on your TA and how quickly they get the information to Oceania.

We have had a deposit returned within 5 days and one sooner.

Can take as long as two weeks in our experience

I have read some CC may not refund until the next billing cycle

Don't have first hand experience with Oceania cancellations but more often than not, credit card companies are very quick to post a charge (usually same day) but very slow to post a credit (usually next billing cycle or even later).

So - if it doesn't post promptly, it may be an issue with your CC company as much as Oceania.

Just sayin'.
