tonamie Posted June 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Needing advice on transfer from SEA airport to Pier 66. We noticed that it takes about a half hour to travel that route. Any recommendations on transfer? What is your personal experience? Thank you.
Rare Caroldoll Posted June 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Traffic is really fierce there. I would take a cab.
Classiccruiser777 Posted June 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Depends on the day of the week, time, number of travelers. Cab will cost about $50, limo around $75. There is ample bus service which I don't recommend.
babysteps Posted June 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2017 Traffic is really fierce there. I would take a cab. This. I was just in Seattle visiting family, and everyone was talking about the traffic, how it can get cloggy at almost any time these days... So it might be prudent to allow more than half an hour from SEA to cruise terminal at pier 66, unless your arrival is early on a weekend morning with no special activities going on downtown. FYI for a while now to help reduce congestion at the terminal, you pick up taxi's and uber's in the parking garage on level 3 at SEA. Well marked, but a bit different than many other airports. Multiple sky bridges bring you from terminal (a level between baggage claim & check in) to level 4 of parking garage. [Or you can walk across the terminal access drive on the baggage claim level and go up - online info says that is forbidden, but I hadn't looked at that and was in a crosswalk last week when I did, so maybe that's up for a change?]
Rare ronrick1943 Posted June 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2017 I'd go with a ptv car service. Let them know what time you want to be at the port and they will let you know what time pick up would be---they have all information regarding timing. Gsel Posted June 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2017 We have used Already There Towncar (Google it) quite a few times in Seattle and love them. They are prompt, cars are clean and the drivers are nice. Could not recommend them more.
pattycakes Posted June 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2017 We used Wingz. Our driver was Erin. He was there early and gave us a ton of info on Seattle :)
Classiccruiser777 Posted June 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2017 Pike Place Market, Space Needle, monorail are all within walking distance of pier 66. Drop off the luggage and stroll.
