Hairdryers - R Class ships

Do Oceania provide hand held hairdryers in the standard cabins on the R Class ships or is it just the wall mounted hairdryers with the rubber hose in the bathrooms ?

We were on Regatta in December and there was a hand held hair dryer available. It was in a felt bag in one of the drawers near closet.

We just left the Regatta last Sunday, we had an inside cabin, and there was a hand-held hair dryer just as macor said.

Ditto, we got off Regatta on 4/24 and there was a hand held dryer (thankfully!) but there was also that wall mounted dryer in the bathroom.

Thanks for your replies, it will save me having to take my own hairdryer. I find the wall mounted one in the bathroom totally useless.

If you did -- they will not allow it. It will trip the breaker. The ones provided are low current and work on 120 VAC. They do not provide the amount of heat that you would normally expect but do an adequate job.

I am not sure about the voltage on the unmounted hair dryer. From past experience on both Regatta and Riviera, I have to say that they are excellent and are plenty hot.

How about my curling iron? About to go on my first Oceania cruise.
