Has anyone stayed in this room? It kind of looks like a balcony? Any drawbacks? Thought I put it on hold but apparently I booked it.
Added: 12 day cruise, 2 sea days / 10 ports

I booked as many as I can with my OBC (FCD & shareholders) as soon as I can and cancel when I decide against them. Current 0 on my 9/2024 cruise, 3 on my 1/2025 cruise, and 1 on my 2/2026 cruise. Might cancel 1
Me 🖐 my closest airport is OAK but I will either fly in / out of SFO or LAX. SFO is not the closest airport and logistically LAX is either a 6 hr drive away OR a 1.5 flight OR heading out from a kids house
Is this a change because EZAIR is a consolidator? FWIW my timing is limited and 5 nights before or after doesn't negatively affect me. But my flight SFO->LHR / MIA->SFO just doubled. That does affect me. Plus UAL only gives points / flight leg if I upgrade (well I do that anyway & my upgrade is still $229)
Actually although I've had it on cruises this year, embarkation with green status was so fast it was immaterial.
I wonder. Often these new perks are only for new bookings not existing ones.
Also: the perk window seems short so is the objective to reduce the number of drop & go bookings where often the taxes /port charges = cruise fare?
That's how I interpret it. 1 day / 2 day / 3 day solo in suite = 6 credits. 3 days SF -> Vancouver on 1 ship then 1 day Vancouver -> Seattle on another = 6 credits. 1 day back to Vancouver = 6 credits. There. 5 days = Elite.
As they rapidly increase the # of Elite the value in that package decreases. Longer waits for tender & laundry
Wondering if this is because the perceived value of Plus➕ and Premier is decreasing (I'm not saying anyone here feels that way, I am saying that non-social media pax may)
