  1. Generally only breakfast is included. That said some included tours and/or optional tours during the land portion may include a lunch or dinner. You need to read the descriptions carefully. Hotel restaurants are generally overpriced and feature somewhat mediocre food. Better to explore the local food scene, with exceptions in countries that have less than stellar food handling/storage habits (Egypt for example) where eating at the hotel may lessen the chances for traveler “tummy” to use a polite phrase.
  2. @mrlevin my understanding is that the black lane transfers consist of a credit of $250 pp/$500 per couple and is ONLY provided to guests who book the “ultimate”all-inclusive fare that includes air (regardless of class of service). The funds can be used through Blacklane limo service however you wish in conjunction with the trip. Want home/airport service? You can use it for that. Want airport/port,or airport/hotel or hotel/port transfers? You can use it for those as well. There are some caveats with distances, availability in home city / destination, and if you set up private transfers that would replace any normally included transfers there is no additional offset/credit for making that choice. You do not have to be flying in/out on cruise days or staying at a regent hotel to use the credits intra trip if desired. The guest is responsible for any cost that exceeds the credit once used up. It cannot be carried over to another trip either. At least this is my understanding at this point in time.
  3. From the Travel Advisor FAQ's I have seen nothing about the actual flight booking process will change. The change to the flight inclusive fare that will be offered going forward will allow guests to choose their preferred class of service at time of booking. Rather than all international bookings with flights including business class and all domestic bookings including economy the guest will now be able to choose their class of service - standard economy, premium economy or business/first (business internationally/first domestically). Just like today if the guest lets Regent assign the flights automatically it will happen approximately 75 days out and changes can only be made for a fee possibly incurring airline change fees on top of the regent custom air fee. For those guests who want to personalize their travel they may do so starting at 210 days out by using custom air and paying any air differential for their preferred flights/routings as well as the custom air fee.
  4. Any of our resident experts care to weigh in on what we can typically expect weather wise on the Rhine and Moselle in Early November? Average temps, rainy/dry? It has been a long time since I have been in that part of Germany during the fall and my memory is a bit fuzzy. Thanks for any info!
  5. The black lane credit. Is not just for home / airport transfers. It can be used on trip between airport and hotel or hotel and ship, and on either or both ends of the cruise. The hotel does not have to be booked through regent. It can also be used airport/ship or reverse. They are providing a lot of flexibility with the offer.
  6. I’m staying at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre in October. Just the other side of the train station from the Doubletree and actually a shorter walk to the train, metro and trams. Well priced clean hotel, but rooms fairly basic and small. For a city like Amsterdam where I’ll be spending only enough time to shower and sleep in my room it’s a good choice.
  7. You may pay more for AMA up front, but there are fewer back end expenses. AMA ships typically carry 30-40 less guests than Viking with similar sized public spaces and similar crew numbers. More space, better service. Viking include one pre defined tour per stop. Use it or lose it. They offer multiple alternative tour options, for a fee per stop - often with a hefty price tag. AMA will have multiple included tour options, and when they offer alternatives they are usually more reasonably priced than Viking. AMA have a sip & sail happy hour every evening prior to or during the daily briefing. Viking does not. AMA also has a wider selection of included wines with meals, usually of a higher quality than Viking. AMA have more varied and creative menus than Viking with a broader range of choices. AMA also have the chefs table dining experience, which all guests may dine at once per cruise at no additional cost. While Viking do have the Aquavit terrace as alternative dining it is essential a trimmed down version of the dining room offering. AMA have a daily tapas offering in the main lounge with unique offerings separate rom the dining venues. AMA will pack you a picnic lunch to take ashore. Viking does not offer this. AMA has more health/wellness programming and carry their own fleet of bikes & e-bikes. They offer included hiking & biking tours and you can check out the bikes / e-bikes at no extra cost. Viking sells hiking & bike tours and does not carry their own bikes onboard. So,in the end it depends on what is important to you. For the consumer looking for lower upfront pricing, good food, decent service, is not overly fussy about wine selection and whom would be happy with Vikings included tours then there is nothing wrong with the Viking product. For the consumer who wants more choice of included tours, wants more active pursuits like biking, more gourmet dining and better wine selection included, then the buy up to AMA has value.
  8. Navigator of the Seas was built in 2002. At 22 years old she is hardly a “new” ship. Royal Princess was built in 2013, so a full decade younger.
  9. Im sure they are pouring off their backstock before switching over to the new supplier. Depending on the provisioning ports and how the previous supply was ordered/warehoused it may take a few months to go through it all.
  10. I recommend having your travel agent get specific pickup time & location as well as a phone number for the local ground handling company. Do not leave this to assumption as on the spot alternative transport should you miss the coach will be VERY expensive and stressful.
  11. I’m wondering when they use the term bargain in the financial disclosure if the meaning isn’t more akin to “negotiated”. Not sure how ship ownership was structured when RCCL completed the acquisition of Silversea but it is possible that Whisper had previously been sold to a 3rd party and leased back in a long term agreement to raise capital. If that were the case then perhaps this represent the buyout/buyback of the vessel to being wholly owned by RCG.
  12. She can do everything you can do except drink Alcohol. So she can eat, drink non-alcoholic beverages, use pools/hot tubs, go the spa, gamble in the Casino, attend activities and events, go to lectures, arts/crafts, dance to live music or in Disco (if the ship has one), audience participation games, karaoke, production shows, MUTS, sit and read, play board/card games and so on. There should be enough people onboard between 18-25 for her to find a social group if she so wishes
  13. They did add some Late Nov/Dec 25 11 & 14 day sailings on Coral from FLL recently that were not part of the original 25/26 Caribbean Announcement that line her up perfectly for the 2026 World cruise. I predict she will sell better on the WC than Island has the last few years as Island suffers such a maligned image with Princess loyalists due to the Frankenship overhaul they gave her. Were I in a position to do so I'd book Coral on a WC in a heartbeat!
  14. As I don’t have any devices with type c cords I did not pay particular attention. I do remember type a on both sides however
  15. E Concierge suite. All Concierge and Superior suites would be the same.
