Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. E414 will have almost no obstruction. The obstruction is the deck below that has chairs for people to sit out on. Nothing in front of you and not near any tenders or lifeboats. I had this cabin booked for a cruise and was happy about it, but just moved a few doors down to one with a bigger balcony.
  2. Hi helpful Cruise Critic members, we are flying into Heathrow on a Wednesday, mid-morning, and need to get to Conrad St. James. The St. James underground station is just across the street from the hotel, but it has a couple of flights of steps and we have luggage. Does it make sense to take the Elizabeth Line to Paddington and catch a cab (nicer train from what I hear), or Piccadilly to the District line and get off a stop earlier at Victoria (escalators and taxis, I think?) for the short taxi ride to the hotel? Or, if you tell me it's not a big deal hauling 50 pounds of luggage up the stairs at St. James, I'd consider it, but probably not my first choice. 🙂 Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi all, I've searched but can't find any helpful information regarding how long before your scheduled departure time should you arrive at Waterloo Station? Never been before and not sure how easy wayfinding is. This would be Friday, late morning. Thanks so much!
  4. We're staying there for the first time in September - can report back if you aren't traveling soon. Seems to have good reviews and a convenient location.
  5. Hi all, we're considering whether to take the Princess transfer to Southampton from London or make our own way via bus or train. For the Princess transfer, I'm wondering does check-in get backed up at the cruise terminal because so many passengers are getting off the coach(es) and checking in at the same time? Would it be better to try to arrive a little earlier by taking the National Express bus or train? Thanks, Alicia
  6. Thanks so much. Not knowing the area it's so hard to make a decision, but we are going to stay where we are.
  7. We have reservations at that hotel coming up, and it appears it's within walking distance of a lot - Westminster Abby, Big Ben, etc. Is that not the case? Our other choice is Hampton Waterloo.
  8. Bumping this thread. Does anyone have any experience in actually using OBC on the first day of the cruise to upgrade to Princess Plus? Thanks!
  9. HI all, we're staying two nights pre-cruise in London and trying to decide between these two hotels. They are same cost-wise. Curio seems closer to the sights we want to see, but Hampton is right by Waterloo station if we take the train to Southampton. Thanks in advance!
  10. We've been to Paradise Beach within the past year and it wasn't crowded at all. We did pay as you go and it was very minimal for the chairs.
