  1. Yep we love our clothes lines. Guess because we have such long hot summers. Love washcloths. Most families I know have them in their bathrooms including us.
  2. Lovely sunny Saturday in Sydney. Had a long Christmas lunch with a group on friends on the verandah of a lovely cafe. Food was superb. Never had a burnt Basque cheesecake before. Very nice. (Not the best photo). Drove back through a smoke haze. Unfortunately there was unannounced hazard reduction on this afternoon (normally we get advance notice) so all the dried washing including sheets & towels has a smoky smell. *hazard reduction - controlled burning of the bush*
  3. Max, keeping my daughter company while she fruitlessly attempts to buy Glastonbury tickets on 4 devices at 3am in the morning…. Daughter then wanted to go to bed but he refused to move off MY blanket so she sent me a photo and said “sorry mum, this was the best I could do” (the rule is sofa covers must go on if Max sleeps in the room….)
  4. Dani, I am very sad to read that the change in “climate” will have such an impact on your lives. I know you have many wonderful long term friends and your family in Israel so this is probably going to be a no but I have to ask if moving countries would be a consideration for you at some point?
  5. My daughter and I have upcoming flights to Brisbane which I booked. She loves the aisle and I want the window. That is what I booked.
  6. Bargain! Great idea to source from the charity shop. DH donated a couple of his good suits to a charity shop recently. Hope you have a great time at the event.
  7. I didn’t sign up for VIFP on my first Carnival cruise. I’ve got one now for the upcoming cruise but even logging into Carnival with my VIFP, there aren’t any of these great offers available to me. So it s definitely the case of them not being available to everyone.
  8. Agree. That is what kept me watching the show. I stopped watching at the end of Season 9 though and I doubt I will watch any of the spin offs.
  9. Yep, during the daytime on a long haul flight. Encouraging people to snooze. I don’t sleep on planes and looking out the window helps pass the time. There is only so many movies you can watch on a long haul flight Sydney to London.
  10. My DH is a one finger typist. Watching him type work emails is excruciating. Back in the day, I did a typing course so at least I type properly on the work keyboard.
  11. All my posts here are done on my phone and I am a one finger typist on my phone. Would love to know what speed my daughter types at, her fingers fly across the keyboard on her phone and laptop.
  12. @OnTheJourney It’s even more annoying when it’s the flight attendant walking down the aisle telling everyone in your section to put the screens down.
  13. Turns out the Celebrity Eclipse was late docking at OPT due to heavy seas (per info on Aust & NZ cruise forum). Always a good idea to book flights out of Sydney in the afternoon, just in case. Jacarandas are in bloom at Circular Quay too
  14. Today I was in Kirribilli, so decided to check out the Jacaranda street. Knew the trees were definitely in bloom when I saw the first of several photographers with long lenses and the council workers putting the “be road aware” type purple stickers on the footpaths next to the tree lined street. Love that the guy about to have his photo taken on the park bench with the Jacarandas behind him, wore a purple top for the occasion. Then as I was taking a photo of the water, I saw a cruise ship cruising past heading towards Circular Quay which was weird as it was 11am. The ships usually dock at OPT much earlier. Headed down to the waters edge to catch the ferry.
  15. I think GOT and Walking Dead were my last “water cooler” shows. Where we would watch one episode as it was released and then discuss in depth the next day and then desperately wait for the next episode. ps im all for “chatty” Cheers 🥂🍷
  16. @sgmn wonderful that your grandson is doing so well @Sea Dog cant offer any advice but hope you logging in issues resolve asap
  17. Thankfully I don’t take accidental selfies but I do frequently take accidental shots of my legs below the knees and my footwear and photos of whatever surface I am standing on. I must somehow press the camera button when I am putting my phone back in my bag. This happens during our weekend walks and whilst on holidays. Nice photo, nice photo, oh look a photo of my muddy sneakers on a rock. Nice photo, nice photo, oh look the cruise cabin has cream carpet…🤦‍♀️
  18. Bit of excitement at Taronga Zoo in Sydney this morning, five adult lions got out of their enclosure. Zoo and surrounding suburb went into lockdown. Thankfully lions were found within the zoo and returned safely to their enclosure with no injuries to them or any humans.
  19. @lenquixote66 Sorry to read of your pain too. I am glad you have a loving family taking care of you and many friends.
  20. @BonTexasNY So sorry to read that you are struggling and going backwards. I sincerely hope things improve for you. re:photos. Although it’s a surprisingly chilly day here in Sydney today, we are heading into summer here and we have lots of weekend day walks on our list, , a week away in Nov, then December, then January and we have a NYE planned too, so hopefully my photos and everyone else’s here continue to be a distraction for you.
