  1. Not sure I would look to Norwegian or Carnival for what you are seeking. Actual lectures may be limited to certain itineraries on most of the mass market lines, but we've had them on most of our Celebrity, Princess, and Cunard cruises. And we've had production shows in the theatres on all of those lines. If you really long for the good old days, then maybe you need to look at HAL.
  2. Looks like you're doing the usual Western Med cruise. Go ahead and just book whatever ship excursions look good to you with the info you have now. The really good excursions can book up early. You can cancel and get refunded up to a day or so before the excursion begins. Then do some research. Since you are newbies to Europe, get a copy of Rick Steves Mediterranean Cruise Port guidebook. All kinds of valuable info there, whether you are using ship excursions, independent tour providers or DIY. Then join your Roll Call to see what others, who may have far more experience, have lined up. Do not forget to check out the European Ports of Call forum here on CC as well.
  3. If you can't book the cruise with the Future Cruise office on board (and I would bet you could) then this would be your next option. Perhaps only phone if you are in port, otherwise give your TA an advance heads up on a possible time sensitive email that they may get.
  4. I think you must have misinterpreted this one. Smoking in the nude is very risky- a dropped hot ash could result in a most unfortunate and uncomfortable consequence. 😉
  5. I always have travel anxiety, but it has nothing to do with Covid, only my fear of flying. We've traveled internationally twice this year and to the west coast once. Both of us wear our masks in airports, on flights, and in crowded situations whether indoors or out. What other people do is up to them. We will shortly leave for a 28 day cruise, which means we will be away for over a month, and will continue with these same precautions.
  6. How long has it been since your last comedy theme cruise?
  7. That's what I was trying to point out to uncleboo. The website is necessary.
  8. If it is only on an app, how is one to print off the luggage tags, or anything else for that matter. Tell me how you manage to print from your phone or tablet, because I've not been able to do it. And remember that there are still people who only have a computer and don't own mobile devices. They need a website alternative
  9. This is the third thread the OP has posted about the same complaint. OP, let it go. You've had this correctly explained multiple times already.
  10. I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. But my best guess is that you are assuming a lot, most likely based solely on what you want, rather than reality. Which "Italian" restaurant are you asking about? I believe you are on the Enchanted. Sabatini's is a specialty restaurant. Gigi's is a pizzeria and is included.
  11. Why would you think wine or other alcoholic drinks would be included in a coffee package?. In any event, Celebrity doesn't sell a coffee package, so that is obviously not what you bought.
  12. My first thought would be Uber or Lyft. But there might be much better info in the Florida Departures board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  13. In 25 years of cruising, I've never seen anyone on a cruise trip over a bag and hurt themselves. If you are frail and have trouble managing your carry on, perhaps you might consider boarding after 1:00, when all of the cabins should be open.
  14. How are they hurting themselves? Book before or book after boarding- the specialties will still have bodies in seats. If you are that worried, just book them on embarkation day. Or make your best guess as to the formal nights ( they are pretty much the same on shorter cruises) and book them now. Change them once on board if you need to. It's not something to get anxious about.
  15. From London to your Southampton hotel? Or from the ship to the hotel?
  16. Oh for crying it loud. The Daily Mail is worse than the National Inquirer . The ship is NOT in lockdown. Some of the pax and crew ( about 1 out of every 280 people on board) are required to quarantine for 5 days. That's all. The ship is continuing its itinerary. Pax who aren't ill are continuing as usual. The whole thing is one big nothing burger. Having Covid on board is nothing new, and has been a constant since the restart. Nor is it a Princess issue, but is spread across all lines. Enough already.
  17. Lol. I wonder if DH has his old white belt, white flared pants and white loafers hiding in a trunk . They'd be just the ticket with that sequined nightmare.
  18. Did you read post #6 from PacnGoNow? We can't tell you which one will be the easiest to get to unless we know where you are coming from? And there's no need for going up and down a lot of stairs if that's difficult for you. There are plenty of elevators to help you.. For dinner, will you be coming from a lounge or your cabin?. Will that be forward, midships, or aft? If you are going to be forward or midships, then go to one of the midship MDRs. If you'll be somewhere aft of midships, then go to the aft MDR. Or, you know, just look at the deck plans.
  19. A period now and then would help understand your post a little better. Yes, pick a MDR and then stay and order your meal. Leaving before you order might be considered rude. Yes, you can go to diffrent dining rooms, but I wouldn't recommend going to more than one each night. If you don't want to look for your luggage tags, porters will have tags at the port
  20. Bring your books. Better yet, load ebooks on an eReader or tablet. The libraries are history
  21. So am I supposed to find DH a gold lamé suit now? Maybe just the pants with a white shirt trimmed with sequins? 🤪
  22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a federal regulation requiring public input before certain policies or changes can be instituted by federal entities like the FAA? And I believe I read that before any more shrinkage can occur in aircraft seating, the airlines will have to prove the plane can be evacuated within the allowable limit.
  23. JMO, but I don't think there's much of a quality difference between HAL and the Celebrity M or S class ships. But I've no idea what the OP considers "nice".
