  1. IIRC, both ships recently had pretty extensive refurbishments. Completely overhauled the MDR, updated cabins with new carpet and fixtures, and added an entire extra deck up top. I feel like these still have a good few years left in them doing short runs in the Caribbean. Doubtful if we will see them for 10 more years however.
  2. Hmm, that makes a lot of sense! I bet it is going to be some sort of immersive 360 theater with a floating seat. Something along the lines of "Soarin" at the Disney Parks but on a smaller scale. This would be a pretty neat addition. Can't wait to see if we are right 🙂
  3. Methinks this could also be one of those "robotic arm ride" things like what they are putting on MSC Seascape. It's sort of like a roller coaster simulator type thing I think. I doubt they would tease this if it is an existing feature on RC - I believe that this post is teasing something like what it linked below. 4. Aww, just graduated from Baylor in May and seeing Waco makes me miss college lol. And being a ranked team... Have a great cruise! Sallied on Dream a few years ago and had a blast. Always wanted to do an Eastern Caribbean but the family hates flying so we have never been able to. Maybe we can look into this itinerary for our next cruise... following!
  5. Yeah, I anticipated them keeping #1 in Miami, at least until #2 comes out. Now, in 2025, maybe they can put Icon 2 in Miami and give us the OG... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. So cool! Sad I missed it but oh well. Excited to see all the pictures and menus coming out over the next few days
  7. Wait - I missed the christening ceremony live. Who opened for Katy Perry? Was it Dadi Freyr? I love him and I wouldv'e hated to miss that! Eurovision and cruising crossover - two of my favorite things lol
  8. Thanks for all the details. I was wondering - how do I get a job like yours? I just graduated college with an economics degree but I have always dreamed of a career as part of a cruise ship design team. I have been applying to jobs at RC as well as some other cruise lines in the revenue management department to try and get some involvement, but no such luck. Can you message me so we can talk about this, if you would be willing? I'm so sorry for going off topic, but your job seems fascinating and I want to know how I can become a designer like you.
  9. Hi all, So I’m considering my next vacation and thinking about booking during the next wave season. To get to the point, I love cruising but have a low budget. Therefore, I have always cruised Carnival. However, I’m not really much of a party person and feel like a line such as Princess, HAL, or Celebrity is more my style. The problem is that being a recent college graduate without the $$$ to spend on these higher-end lines, I’ve never been able to try them out to see if I really do like them more. I’m considering saving up for my next trip and trying out Princess, but I have zero experience. This is where I need your help, cruise veterans! How big of a difference is Princess from Carnival? Mainly curious about the food and entertainment. What were some big surprises? Anything positive or negative comparing the two? And finally, are the higher prices for Princess worth it? Hoping you wonderful people will be able to give me some context so I can make a decision! Looking forward to hearing feedback from the community. Thank you!
  10. What the heck is this from? I can't find ANY information about the Sphere class online anywhere. Can you point me to this source or somewhere where I can find more information? I'm very intrigued!
  11. Vista casino felt a little smaller and had no casino bar. Probably a little brighter lighting than the Dream though. Don't gamble much or spend too much time in the casinos, but I have been on each ship one time and had much better luck in the Vista casino if it means anything 😉
