Make sure that you alert you credit card company(s) that you are traveling. Many years ago someone on one of tours hadn’t done that and had a mess trying to use his credit card and get cash.

Good to know - I booked these last year when airfares were A LOT cheaper and I would hate to pay today’s prices if something is screwed up.

Thanks for this information - I have booked using cruiseline air before with Celebrity/Azamara but a bit nervous using Flight Ease. I check my flights almost daily. Had several schedule changes and always get a notice but didn’t get one on the change about a week ago. I like your user name - I am also a Native Floridian (10th generation).

How do you know for sure that they’ve been ticketed? I am able to see the reservation online in My Trips with Delta.

When do airline tickets using Flight Ease actually get ticketed? I am flying in July.

This is the road in Montenegro - 25 hairpin turns - single lane road with 2-way traffic. Never again.

My husband is on the 10am Panorama tour. I plan on just wandering around town and we are doing a 2pm RIB tour. Getting so excited about this cruise! Kathy

THANK YOU - this is what I was afraid of. Not for me!! I did the drive up and down with 25 switchbacks in Montenegro with a single lane and barely survived it with sheer panic. At some points we’d have to back up to let a tour bus maneuver by (we were in an 8 pax van. I swore never again. I will be sending my husband - he can take the great pictures.

I am looking at the bus tour that goes to the top of Mt Dalsnibba in Geiranger and wanted more information on what the actual drive is like getting to the top. I know it’s a winding road with hairpin turns but are there deep drop offs? Are there guardrails? I don’t deal with heights very well and barely survived the drive up and down in Montenegro. I’d like to do this tour but don’t want to be scared.

I am looking at doing the bus tour and I see there are lots of curves/hairpin turns and I wanted to know if there is a big drop off and are there guardrails. I can handle curves but not high drop offs. I’d love to hear thoughts on what this tour is like.

What itinerary are you doing? I am interested in your feedback on AMS airport (how long from deplaning to getting luggage. We don’t board until July doing 14 night Best of Norway.

Thanks! I went ahead and booked a private shuttle for 8:30. We’ll have priority debarkation so that’ll help. I’d rather be safe than sorry and counting on the HAL transfer that could get cancelled. Where are you in TN - we lived in Franklin for 14 years.

I also think I will ask this question in a few weeks when the May/June Rotterdam sailings in Amsterdam start to get a better idea of how things are this year - HOPEFULLY much better than last year!

I booked with Flight Ease that’s why I am surprised they allowed me to book the transfer IF my flight is too early 12:40. I will keep the transfer booked until I get on board to sort it out and also book a refundable private transfer in case I need it. Just want to make sure I am doing everything I can to make that flight.

Fortunately we are the only cruise ship in port that day which will help things - I hope!!

Being new to HAL I am glad I asked this question since I would be impacted having bought the HAL transfer. Based on this information I will pre-arrange a private transfer,

Still wonder if I am better off using private driver instead of the ship’s transfer - that it might save time. I wish now I’d booked a later flight. It’s an acceptable Flight Ease schedule so I assume if there’s delays they will have to get me re-booked.

I am looking at pre-booking a private transfer to the AMS airport. What is the earliest time I can expect to be off the ship (we are in a Neptune suite)? We have a 12:40 flight. I have ships transfer booked but thinking it might be easier and faster to book our own transfer.

Is it easier and quicker to have a private shuttle setup to get to the airport or take the HAL shuttle?
