That sounds just like me . I tell my husband only women with straight nonfrizzy hair can stroll the deck after dinner before the shows. I end up with clown hair

My husband snorkels always. I'm not a great swimmer so it depends on water conditions. We always book snorkel trips and sometimes I snorkel and sometimes I lay on the boat and sometimes a little of both. I was able to snorkel on this one. The lobster and service was awesome worth every penny. They did not overbook the boat.

I have curly frizzy prone hair. I always pull it back with headband and a clip when out on deck or in port and/or a hat. If you stay inside the ship it will behave for dinner and a show. However I recently tried a keratin treatment and wow it's soft and wavy no frizz. I went all over the carribean and barely touched it, expensive but lasts about 3 months life changing !!

I always travel with a heating pad for my back. You will need a long extension cord the plugs are always on other wall from the bed. It's never been confiscated just always unplug when you aren't using it

We explore on our own when we can but when we need an excursion we book thru the ship so we won't have to worry about being left behind and to be safe. However lately we are not happy with ship excursions, way too many people or not exactly what we wanted to do. So I'm wondering has anyone had a private excursion cause them to miss the ship or get into an unsafe position ?

I agree strongly take both kids to kids club the first night and make them stay. Our son went willingly and our daughter was nervous and wanted to try in a couple days. When we finally got her to go everyone was fast friends and she panicked she never went again, this was a huge problem as her brother wanted to be there every minute and she would beg him not to go. Huge mistake lesson learned

We were just on eclipse and silverware was wrapped in cloth napkins. Also forgot to mention one thing we really prefer about celebrity is you can order from the mdr menu during dinner hours for room service delivery. This is huge during long excursion days when you are too tired to get dressed up and go back out but want a great dinner. Seems the regular room service menu for royal and celebrity have both gone downhill, celebrity has a new section for room service for fee items (really did not appreciate this change as this should all be free). Not sure if Royal has done this also it was all free on freedom in June.

We are active in our 40's, diamond with royal and elite with celebrity. We cruise celebrity for port intensive cruises where we just need a good meal and service. If we are looking for entertainment, comedians, shows etc we choose royal everytime. If we take our grown children we only take Royal. Sea days with celebrity can be quite boring. Also if you buy shore excursions thru the ship royal has more active ones to choose from. Luckily we are good at entertaining ourselves. Happy traveling

Thanks good to know, I thought maybe a high level suite. we are elite with celebrity but never thought to make a special request (and oddly the woman at this table wore the same hooded sweatshirt to dinner every single night)

Had brunch on eclipse nov 30th. I wish we hadn't attended people acted like they hadn't eaten in days. It was really crowded and people were reusing plates and eating off their plates while waiting for more food. We won't do it again

So on our recent eclipse cruise a nearby table had shrimp and scallop skewers every night for an appetizer. We asked for the same and our waiter (who had both tables) said I don't know how they are getting them it's not available. He said maybe they preordered or had a family connection?? Anyone know how they did that?

Just off the eclipse it had 3 formal nights. Some dressed way up some dressed way down. We are always somewhere in the middle. We are always focused on each other. I felt bad for the person left at the table while the other walked around judging others and pointing them out. Who cares - dress as you wish and enjoy yourself. I would never wear shorts etc in the mdr but it sure wouldn't ruin my experience if someone else did. I probably didn't even notice.

We were on for nov 30th and they were usually at 7 and 9 but they were pretty awful many people walking out. The circus and one comedian, buzz, was good. We usually went to the movies instead.

Our cruise was canceled the same day I booked and paid in full direct with celebrity. We didn't get an email found out because they followed up to book me one. They had no idea why this happened. I asked for and received a free speciality dinner as an apology (our room was still available luckily)

We are currently on Eclipse and there are no drink vouchers for elite just the evening cocktail hour

We boarded eclipse today and we are elite and there is no priority boarding for elite now . It was elite plus, aqua, concierge and suites only. So if this matters to you book above a veranda category if you are elite.
