  1. I don't excited about too much I know they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. For us it will be one more hilarious story to tell (sleeping in the car in an airport parking lot so we could use the airport facilities) about our cruising adventures. My issues are so minor compared to the islands that were hit by Irma and Key West that I am thankful for all I have and the ability to cruise as much as we do. Imagine having no gas, electricty, water, sewers, Internet and probably roads that are not useable. You just have to keep things in perspective and adapt as necessary.

Love this positive attitude. I have friends whose homes did not do so well My corporate office is in Orlando and they still have no power. I was due to fly in this Friday night for mini vaca but after talking to friends and co workers. I have decided to give up room, car and flight. I know people can use them much more than me. Plus I can plan this trip for next month or November once Florida gets back to some normalcy. Have fun on your cruise and keep up the great attitude

  2. I googled it too and got a different site, no pics of them just pics of a distaster area, but that site did say the cats were safe. Maybe people, not so much. So sad.

The article actually said they all survived and only a few trees down at the house. TMZ spoke to the manager or at least that's what the article said

  3. There is another beach between Playalinda and Haulover. Blind Creek Beach on South Hutchinson Island between Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach. Check it out - treasurecoastnatutists.org. The only facilities are porta-potties paid for by donations to Treasur Coast Naturists. LGBT friendly. I'm there once or twice a week with my wife. Very family friendly. No problems with the sheriff - they randomly patrol the parking lot and come out to the beach.

Thank you for the info. I will have to check it out next time I am in Florida. I live in Vegas and we have no nude places so I can only go when I am in Florida visiting.

  4. Are you doing the AI side? That's what I always do and I start by giving $10 and then at the end if he / she was great ( which they always are ) I will give another 10 or 20. Depends on how much they bring you etc. they work their butts off in the heat and the sand is not easy to walk in for them.

  5. Great beach to visit. It takes me about 1 hour to get there but well worth it. Haulover is great too but a bit too far.

I live in Florida so try to get to St. Maarten whenever I can. Excellent beach there; mixed crowd but well worth the trip. Eating lunch in a restaurant naked is so cool (towel down of course).

Lucky you live so close to playalinda and yes Orient beach is awesome. Love love love it

  6. Are these cruises LGBT friendly?

Partner and I are thinking about trying one out as we enjoy going nude at our local beaches. Also, we just went to Haulover Beach for our first time a couple weeks ago before our cruise and enjoyed it.

Haulover beach is awesome. There is also playalinda in port canaveral and I am told to the left is LGBT friendly. The nude area is section 12.

I was afraid of that. I can't vacation in the first 8-10 days of a month and these seem to always fall in that time [emoji22]. Thank you for answering

  8. Just curious how much cigarettes are to buy onboard? I am going with a couple smokers and did advise them to buy their cigarettes and pack them.

I was just on a cruise on RC in October. Carton of pall mall blues were $20 on ship. You are limited to a total of 2 cartons but if you stop in ST Thomas then you can buy 5 cartons at a slightly higher price. I only bring a pack to get me by until I can buy on ship[emoji38]

  9. I know you can have both just not sure how many loungers though. I know my friends used a lounger each and we had a table but may be because we had several of us. You can go on cruisett.con and check on how many ships. Keep in mind Cozumel is a big place. I have been with many ships but never felt over crowded

  10. Mr Sanchos is one beach club we haven't tried as we tend to keep to the quieter places. However we are considering it for future visits with grandkids.

If you are on your lounger what is there to stop someone else using your table? Surely there aren't 300 loungers and 300 chairs at tables to allow everyone to have both all day?

They limit how many people can sign up for the AI side so if you want to do that then you should pay the $5 ahead of time to reserve your spot. This place is beautiful and has wonderful food and great service but it can get noisy / rowdy in a good way. I have been where people are quiet and keep to themselves and I have been where it's a party place and lots of fun. If your kids are young and you are going to pay for the toys in the ocean then just know that those are closer to the non AI side. The AI side is well worth it in my opinion. Again though I am not sure how many loungers you get with AI tables reservation. I know if you email them they will respond back.

  11. I am not 100% sure if all of you can have both a table and lounge chairs. I personally have only used the table and I love hanging in the pool and drinking. Lol. We always left our stuff on the table and never had issues. I am not a lay out in the sun / umbrella person. I like to be in the pool talking with people. Don't be sorry for asking questions. That's how we all learn things.

  12. No problem. I will answer what I can. When you enter there are workers at the tables and they have a list of names for AI people. Tables on the sand / beach don't have names. Sorry I didn't explain that better. They will guide you over to your table and if you don't want it then tell them which one you want. They are not pre assigned, they just pick one when you show up Once you pick a table then yes that is your table for the day. On the chairs and umbrellas, you also just tell them which one you want. Keep in mind the tables in the sand are anywhere between 10-50 feet from the loungers on the beach. It is not far. Get there when they open to have the best selection.

  13. You are welcome. Keep in mind that the AI side and non AI side are separate and they only allow a certain amount on the AI side. The taxi stand is in the back of all the shops. Just follow the crowd. The prices are on the board for each popular location. I think we paid $20 each way. Also tip the waiter if he does a good job which they always do. There are some sales people that try to sale things but a polite no thank you and they will walk away. They are not pushy. There are 2 pools in the AI side. One has swings and is pretty cool. The toys in the water cost extra. They do have lockers for free but you have to put cash down and then they will give it back when you return the key. I have never had an issue though with leaving things at the table. The sand can get hot so wear flip flops. Most of all have lots of food and drinks and have FUN

  14. They have tables with your name. Give them the name and they will take remaining balance due at that time. I have never had a problem with chairs or tables or anything when I have gone which is about 4 x now. The last was in October 2016. Order off the menu for food. It's better.

  15. This was not meant as a personal attack on you or your personal health. It was meant to be a general observation or fact regarding smokers health. It is a fact, smokers are more likely to have higher medical costs than NON smokers.

You can't dispute this. You may not but in general, smokers are a burden to healthcare.

I only have had to go to the doctor for my yearly check ups. Will that change when I am say 80 or 90. Maybe. Who knows.

I don't dispute that ALL unhealthy vices cost us tax payers money. There are many overweight people, people who eat fast food, alcohol drinkers and their livers, drug addicts, energy drinks. The list goes on. Very few people live a completely healthy life style and so most all of us contribute to the cost of healthcare in one way or another. Sometimes it's just genetic but mostly it's our vices /our choices. I don't condone or disagree or preach to anyone for their choices they make in their lives. We live in a very judgmental society and we as a society need to look in the mirror more and not so much at others and their choices.

  16.

I think you accusing people of "bashing" you is a defense mechanism because you know that smoking isn't healthy. But, that is my opinion and you don't have to agree with it, but you are also doing what you are accusing others of. I really hope you don't find out the hard way that smoking is never good for anyone and you may be healthy now.

I do find it interesting that so many are concerned with how little money they think the crew makes, but you rarely see anyone concerned with the health of the crew who work in or near the casino and other smoking areas who have to breathe in the smoke everyday.

Maybe you should re-read my posts. No where so I say smoking is healthy. Eating fast food , drinking , smoking pot( which is legal in many states) too much gambling, drinking soda. Etc etc. is not healthy but we all have our vices. My point is I don't comment on someone's health based on something they do that is not considered healthy and I don't agree with and no one should on mine. People should worry more about them selves and not be so judgmental because none of us are perfect. And I never have and would never blow smoke in anyone's face. Smoker or not. I also agree with another poster on here. They should make a smoking and non smoking area in the casinos and by that, i mean a true separation. Maybe glass either the smokers or non smokers in a area that has the gambling machines. Then everyone who wants to ,can play and be happy.

  17. Except it is well known that smoking damages every single cell in your body, so it's not really an opinion that it's more than just unhealthy. I watched both my grandfather's die from smoking related cancers.

    First sorry for your loss

That has nothing to do with my health. I have lost people to cancer that had nothing to do with smoking and again my perfect health is not your concern. I don't judge or bash non smokers so don't input your opinion on my personal health. I could care less if they banned it everywhere but outdoors. I am a courtesy smoker and I don't judge anyone or their habits or health especially when I have no clue who they are.

  18. Well I can tell you i went on empress in October. They had no smoking because there is no air in the casino. That is what was told to me. The casino was small. I am a smoker and I saved a lot of money [emoji106]. I can also say that many of us who were smokers did not play as much and to be honest the casino was dead most of the time. Now I don't know if that's because the nonsmoking or because the casino was much smaller than normal or because the no air or combination of all of it. As a smoker. I don't mind the non smoking casinos because again I save myself money. I don't know if this was the cruise ship they told you about or if it was another ship.
