  1. Thank you again and again for the time spent (and spending ) on this review!

I really feel like we will be getting our money's worth knowing so much before we go!

Do you know which forum I could join that does a dress exchange? It seems like I read about women sending their dresses to others after a cruise, free except for S/H, I think this is so smart because a lot of us don't want pictures with same dress on multiple cruises , lol

It's called. Recycling clothing among cc cruisers or users. Sorry I forgot which is the last word as I have it subscribed

  2. I have a question that is cruise related but not about nos. my guess is the seasoned cruisers will know. I read/ saw somewhere on a thread here about a locking beach safe case. It holds room key id and a little cash and it's waterproof and looks like a combo lock on it. I should have written the name down but didn't and now I can't find it and I'm not a internet search pro so I get frustrated easily. Does anyone know what I am talking about and what it's called or even ideas on something to purchase that's not too expensive to hold this stuff? We are cave tubing and we need something. Thank you

  3. Both the premium and ultimate include lava flow and White Russian. I had the premium package at $55 a day..... My friend also had the same package and I think she had seven one day by the pool lol

Great thank you. My friend who is going on her first cruise has been lurking on this thread and read how I say she is trying to convince to buy it. Lol. Her convincing is working little by little. Hah

  4. I don't intend to be rude by correcting the previous poster as there are many options with similar names and it is easy to get confused. The Premium package is $55.00 per day. The Ultimate is $65.00 per day. I didn't want you and your friend to accidentally order the wrong package.

    Previous poster, no disrespect intended!

Thank you for the correction. So you know if the 55 a day includes White Russians or lava flows? Thank you

  5. We had the ultimate package in December and the lava flows were included.....and we had LOTS of them :D..... other friends had white russians and they were included as well

  6. Hi everybody from my wife Deb, and myself. Just to update you on what has happened this weekend just gone. Deb has had cosmetic surgery on her boobs in Birmingham UK and is now recovering. My goodness, what a transformation. We only got back home this evening and, although she is still feeling a bit stiff, she cannot wait to get out and show them off. Am sure her confidence has already come back. Its her birthday next week so something special has been hid away at home. Hope everyone is keeping well, and you may be looking forward to your cruise if you have booked one. Take care everybody, and thanks from my wife and myself for the encouragement. Adrian and Deb xxxxxx

  8. Good Morning Ladies,

This is a size XL (fits a size 12) BCBG that was way too short for me (I am 5'11") and I never wore it. So, if you are about 5'7" or shorter it will be great. If you would like the dress, please email me at lisa at lounsbery dot com (do not email the gmail address...I do not use that anymore).

I will ship international and simply request that you reimburse me for the postage and post a picture of you in the dress.

  9. I have been it the pest control industry for well over 20 years and have experience with bed bugs. Are they a problem, yes big time. They are very hard to control and eliminate. I often wondered how the cruise ship industry would handle a problem with bed bugs. The process is not a 10 minute fix, it takes hours or even days. In hotels if bed bugs are found in 1 room we treat that room and also treat the rooms on either side and the rooms above and below. Very time consuming and expensive. Most hotels can shut down these rooms for a few days or a week so the treatment can be done. A cruise ship does not have that luxury. I know that Royal does have professional pests control technicians on board. I would think that housekeeping has been trained to detect any signs of bed bugs. The cruise industry cannot afford to to let the problem get out of control. Bed bugs are transported by people. With many guests staying at many different hotels and coming from many different countries , I see no way of keeping them off the ship. As of right now there is no preventive pest control measures to keep them out. Many hotels, dorms, cruise ship etc. are using bed bug proof encasement covers for the beds, this keeps them off of the mattress and box springs.

All this being said there are a few things we can do to help protect ourselves and not spread them. Yes check bed, dressers, desks etc. for any signs before we unpack. Hang your clothes don't put into dressers, if you do use zip-lock bags, (have you noticed socks, underwear etc. are being sold with a ziplock), big garbage bags ( they also sell bed bug proof luggage covers) to cover your luggage, don't put your shoes under the bed under the sink in the bathroom is better or on the shelves in the closet, dirty laundry in plastic sealed bags. When you get home put your clothes in the dryer first (heat kills bed bugs & their eggs) then wash, check your luggage.

If you do find bed bugs try and catch it and report it immediately to the proper people. Most Front desk clerks at hotels don't make a lot of money and don't really care, ask nicely for a manager. Don't make a big scene that is not helping anything. I have had so many calls to check for bed bugs because someone complained about them and found no signs of any. The spider used to get blamed for a lot for biting people now it is the bed bug, when in reality it could be another insect or a skin problem. Not all bites are bed bugs. Don't call out hotels, cruise ships, etc. on the internet unless you are 100% positive that is what they are. When you do most will call their pest control company to check to see if there is a problem. Most of the time I don't find a problem. Of coarse Most of your higher end hotel chains will pay and take care of the problem quickly. Some of the lower end chains not so much, they do not want to spend the money and try doing themselves. Many of the lower end franchise owners will not spend the money until it is out of control. The higher end ones have very strict polices for the franchise owners.

Just take some care and precaution and you will be fine. It only takes a couple of minutes to check your room.

As a matter of fact I have not been working for the last few weeks because I tore my rotator cuff and had surgery. I was moving some furniture while treating a place for bed bugs. I guess they can hurt you!

Very informative. Thank you. I work at a resort and every time someone suffers a rash or bite they automatically say bed bugs. Not true in the majority of the cases. We have had them and we treat the room and all surrounding rooms We have the pest company come back for 3 weeks to make sure they are gone before we release the room and in some cases we throw out the mattress to be safe. It's very expensive but we will pay it so our future guest are not affected. Sadly bbs are becoming more common than ever even though not every time someone has a bite or rash.

Highs only in mid 40 s Vegas winter is here :( good thing your not coming in today because they are shutting some of the strip down for Britney Spears arrival

The wheel now has all the pods on it so you should stop and see that

  11. I think I've finally decided that I want to book the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter excursion over all of the rest. However, I was wondering if I should purchase the Beach Day Upgrade. On the website, it says you will have access to the Aqua Park and a Grilled Lunch. So I wasn't sure if this meant that you already have access to the beach there and that was just an upgrade? Or do you have to purchase that in order to use the beach?

If I remember correctly from being there in 2011 you walk over a short bridge to get to the beach area and good area. We did the dolphin excursion and it was awesome but I would not pay the price to do it again and it's not as much interaction with them as I thought unless it's changed in the two years We did the package that had the dolphins and the beach and food We also got to see the sea lions and some other animals there there was a brand new baby sea lion and it was so cute. The bad part for us was it rained and stormed so we couldn't enjoy the water ( they made is get out) eventually having us leave the island early for safety reasons which I had no problem with. If they are charging extra to go on the beach side then if it's reasonably priced. Then do it the food was okay but the bartender was awesome. Some of the money you spend there helps to pay for the marine work they are doing to save the animals so it's for a good cause Enjoy
